The Vul'Gol Ogre Mound.

The Vul'Gol Ogre Mound is a small basin in southern Duskwood, which is completely overrun by Splinter Fist ogres led by Zzarc'Vul, after which the mound was named. It is located just to the southwest of where the main road through Duskwood splits and runs south into Stranglethorn Vale. Humans used to live in the basin, as evidenced by the ruined farmhouses.

Background

As the Night Watch wanted to only risk its few members in the defense of more immediate threats, they engaged adventurers to come here and kill some of the ogres in exchange for rewards.[1]

At some point, the necromancer Abercrombie was attacked by the Splinter Fist ogres who stole his "crate of precious tools and herbs" and brought it to their mound. He later sent an Alliance adventurer to recover the crate.[2] Viktori Prism'Antras also needed the monocle of Zzarc'Vul to use for his research and sent an adventurer in the cave to defeat the ogre leader.[3]

A version of the mound also exists within the Emerald Dream. Here, Nightmare-demented ogres can be found under the command of Vvarc' Zul.
