Clans and Tribes

Goria:
The Empire which dominates the modern Ogre civilization, Goria once ruled much of the continent, taking the orc's northern lands and enslaving them just as the ogres once were enslaved by the Gronn. Their capital of Goria itself was destroyed by the orcs during the Old Wars centuries ago and the Empire never recovered from its fall, especially after the draenei took the former heartlands for their own and built Shattrath over Goria. Since then three city states arose, centered around Highmaul and Bladespire on the mainland, and Boneridge in Southeron. Bladespire recently fell to the orcs as they drove the Gorians out of Frostfire reclaiming their homelands, leaving Highmaul as the dominant power in the dying Goria Empire.

Ogri'la:
Living in their isolated valley in Blade's Edge Mountains, the Ogri'la are a new tribe formed around the collection of Apexis Crystal that has allowed them a higher form of thought, in addition to being used in rituals to create new two headed ogres. While two headed ogres are a rare thing, the Ogri'la have been able to fill a tribe of them through this ritual gaining them a greater understanding of magic. Mar'gok sees them as potential risks and wants to wipe them out however the Ogri'la enjoy the protection of the Coalition. Their leader, Mog'dorg the Wizened, believes that the Imparetor must be removed for the ogres to advance out of the mire of the past.

Gordunni:
One of the few independent ogre organisations, they have long refused to bow to any throne and maintain their own territory nestled between Talador and Terokkar. Ruled currently by Witch King Morkurk they are fiercely protective of their independence, refusing to take a side in the civil war. They have a more unique culture as far as ogres are concerned and during the Great War they actually traded with the Coalition, oppising Highmaul's alliance with the human invaders. They remain in their isolated home sending adventurers to deal with encroaching undead and high arakkoa.

Ango'rosh:
Living in Zangarmarsh, they were an tribe that swore allegiance to Highmaul and they've long worked in the Zangar encroachment before the Zangar Sea drained, drasically expanding their operations. However many of their people have fallen victim to the Zangar, becoming infected by the mind altering spores. Most of the warriors and labourers have fallen to the spores; only the shamans and magi remain pure and are fighting back. Their leader, the aged Agg'thok, will send adventurers to kill his former followers as mercy killings while he tries to preserve what is left of his tribe.

Mo'grosh:
A group of ogres that operate inside the Highmaul territory, they are regarded as something of a legal criminal cartel. While often adventurers will be sent to deal with Mo'grosh activity and agents by Gorian officials, the group also does do work for the Imparetor and his Council thus ensuring they do not get completely wiped out. They were formerly led by Mosh'Ogg however after he swindled a member of the senate his death was ordered and a more pliable ogre took his place.

Former

Bloodmaul Traders Company:
A tribe transformed into a corporation first working for Bladespire and later answering to Highmaul. After the Great War the Imparetor sent Gug'rokk to oversee the slave trade, but Borgal Doomfist was the ruler of the Bloodmaul. They secretly allied with the Thunderlords, and when this was learnt the Horde had the leaders killed with Highmaul publicly denouncing this partnership. Under Ogg'ora the Firegut the Bloodmaul joined the Rukh'kron, enslaving the Bloodmane saberon as slaves. For joining Rukhmar, Imparetor Mar'gok declared the Bloodmaul forfeit, and the group was wiped out, any survivors fled to other races' territories to survive. Regardless of any survivors, the Bloodmaul as a tribe are extinct.

Ton'ma:
A rebellious legion of ogres led by Turok, the Ton'ma was formed from political exiles, legion deserters and criminals who fled Imperial lands to evade punishment. They rallied under Turok as the Ton'ma and they raided Blackrock lands for years before Turok married Griselda, daughter of Urukal. Like Griselda's own faction of rebellious Blackrock, the Ton'ma were united into the Drakonaar by Nefarion the Son of Deathwing. Both the Horde and Empire want these ogres dead for their many criminal activities.

Gorian Legions

The military of the Goria Empire is divided into nine Legions, eight numbered and one unnumbered. Each have a different responsibility and expertise, though are still expected to be skilled enough to ultise several different forms of warfare. Each Legion is named after a colour and are what follows; Ivory, Vermilion, Indigo, Viridian, Saffron, Cinnibar, Violet, Cerulean and Obsidian.

Ivory, the 1st Legion-
The first and most honoured Legion, the Ivory have the task of defending Highmaul's upper district and act as the Imparetor's guard. Currently the Magic Breaker, Ko'ragh, is the leader of this Legion holding the title of High Centurion as well as Legate of all Legion giving him the ability to order other Legions. They are considered the most elite of the Legions too, while new ogre recruits can enlist in the other seven numbered Legions only those who preform well in those Legions are chosen for the Ivory Legion.

Viridian, the 4th Legion-
The Legion of High Centurion Tormmok, the Viridian Legion is likely the most famous world wide of the Legions as when Mar'gok needs to send a token force to aid the Coalition it is almost always the Viridian he sends. Some think it is because Tormmok is an outspoken critic of the direction of the Empire, especially as he has no friends among the Senate. Still the Viridian are also one of the most veteran legions as a result as they've partaken in various conflicts such as the War over Outland and the Scourge War, earning the respect of other races. If anyone was to challenge the Imparetor, many believe it may be Tormmok.

Obsidian, the Unnumbered-
The last, the unnumbered, the Obsidian Legion. Unlike the other Legions who's focus is on warfare, invasion and conquest, the operations of the Obsidian are in espionage, spying and infiltration. Many do not expect the Ogres to have a spy network, which makes the work of the Obsidian Legion easier. Led by Smoak, an aged spymistress, the Obsidian Legion have planted agents across Draenor, many of which don't even know they are working for the Gorian Empire, and they have agents from other races taken from the slave pits and raised to work for them. While they profess loyalty to the Sorcerer King, Mar'gok can't help but wonder about their constant interaction with the other races and what the Obsidian define as best for the Empire.

Settlements

Highmaul concept.jpg

Highmaul: The last city of the ogres on Draenor, it stands against the shrinking influence of the ogres. While Bladespire and Goria itself are lost the city of Highmaul still stands in grandeur, with impressive defenses and magics to back it up. The largest arena, the Coliseum, sits within the city and Imparetor Mar'gok rules from the Gorthenon that overlooks the city from the mountain. The Path of Victors connects the districts of the Market District, where trade and commerce happens; the Underbelly where many professions are carried out; and Highmaul Harbor which connects to the Ango'rosh Port to the north.

Ring of Blood: Located on the eastern end of the Empire's Nagrand territory, the Ring of Blood is a large arena of the Gorians that acts as the seat of operations for the Gamemasters, an arena organisation run by Mogor. They have some low stake games for adventurers to partake in if they wander into the arena with great rewards on the line.

Broken Precipice: Located in the mountains north-east of the capital, the Broken Precipice is where many young ogre adventurers will begin their journey. Dealing with an incursion of goren who are controlled by an ogre lord, Cho'war the Pillager, as well as some zangar incursion the Precipice will be a suitable first test for new bloods intending to leave the shrinking Empire for the greater Dreanor beyond.

Ango'rosh Port: Located on an island off the coast of Zangarmarsh, it is what is left of the Ango'rosh after the Zangar infection took much of the clan. It has a working port and is the largest settlement in western Zangarmarsh, giving it activity as heroes and adventurers will usually come from here to fight the Zangar. Agg'thok wants his former clansmen put out of their misery, and also so they can assume their former operations in the marsh.
