Thalanaar was a tiny Alliance night elf camp on the border of Feralas and the Thousand Needles,[89.71, 45.58] until the flooding of the Needles by the Cataclysm destroyed the area. The outpost had very little to offer in the way of goods and services, although it was the location for the Tribal Leatherworking trainer Caryssia Moonhunter and had a flight path that could be reached from Feathermoon Stronghold, Theramore Isle, and Gadgetzan.
New Thalanaar was constructed immediately to the west.
