Mists of Pandaria? Are you sure? Are you sure that they are going to sell this expansion, with the chinises problems? --Kandooww ^^ (talk) 19:41, 21 October 2011 (UTC)

They already dealt with China.
The pandaren originally had a Japanese appearance, using samurai-style armor and weapons. After a negative reaction by many in China, who regard that animal as their national heirloom (indeed, wild pandas only exist in China), they were redesigned with Chinese-style clothing.

If I may add. Pandaeran aren't actually panadas. They look like them but they aren't pandas. Inv helmet 44.pngInv helmet 119.png MoneygruberTheGoblinChieftain of the Gentleman Tribe(talk contribs) 01:18, 2 November 2011 (UTC)

Final Boss

"Unlike all previous expansions, it will not contain a main antagonist. " So there wont be any final boss? Was it mentioned on Blizzcon?--Mordecay (talk) 15:28, 22 October 2011 (UTC)

No main antagonist, does not mean no big boss :
  • Mantid have a thousand-year cycle of aggression who started earlier
  • Mogu are the former slavior of the pandaren and intend to take back Pandaria
  • Sha would most likely have a big big sha

From what I gather, there is no one leader of the evils of Pandaria.--SWM2448 17:16, 22 October 2011 (UTC)
From the three groups I quoted, two are empire and they do not have a leader? >_<

I think in the direction this expansion is going we're going too see alot of Alliance Vs. Horde even more than Cataclysm. Maybe Blizzard wants too make a pvp expansion.Inv helmet 44.pngInv helmet 119.png MoneygruberTheGoblinChieftain of the Gentleman Tribe(talk contribs) 17:21, 22 October 2011 (UTC)
By "no big boss" Blizzad meant there will be no Illidan/Lich King/DW central antagonist but rather seprate and smaller ones like Ragnaros/Nefarian/C'thun/Kel'thuzad, each havig his/her arc etc... I'm not sure if that's the best idea to contain that many threats though on the Island with lo and behold... 4 zones... You're all wrong... the villain is the horde and the alliance--Ashbear160 (talk) 17:54, 22 October 2011 (UTC)
We were talking of a "pve antagonist" Ashy
IconSmall Hamuul.gif Loremaster A'noob, Arch Druid of the Noobhoof Clan (talk/contribz) 18:03, 22 October 2011 (UTC)
It is very possible that the last 'boss' of the Expansion would be a Horde Racial Leader for the Alliance (for example, you have to kill Sylvanas' Val'kyr in her base then finally kill her), and a Alliance Racial Leader for the Horde (for example, you have to defeat Velen by finding the 'evil' he forsees and unleashed it upon him). This is mainly due to the fact that this Pandaria will be mostly inhabited by neautral Pandas with no particularily interesting boss. But this is all speculation on my part. --Illidarí (talk) 18:09, 22 October 2011 (UTC)
I hope it will never happend :D Or at least kill useless leader would be fine, but I'd prefer to kill a new enemy who should rise as a MoP continued by patches. --Mordecay (talk) 18:20, 22 October 2011 (UTC)
This expansion was just announced recently and we've only seen a little bit of In-Game. Blizzard might not even know what antagonists there may be yet. We will likely be completely surprised.Inv helmet 44.pngInv helmet 119.png MoneygruberTheGoblinChieftain of the Gentleman Tribe(talk contribs) 18:27, 22 October 2011 (UTC)
In my opinion Blizzard must have some ideas, they just haven't tell us about him (her). Maybe in lore q/a we will learn who will be an antagonist.--Mordecay (talk) 19:43, 22 October 2011 (UTC)
Going back to the racial leaders as last bosses... if they did that, I'd hope Alliance get to kill Gallywix, and Horde get to kill... hmm, lets go with Garrosh. =P Snake.gifSssssssssssssssssssssssss Coobra sig3.gifFor Pony! (Sssss/Slithered) 01:15, 23 October 2011 (UTC)
I think we would be able too kill Tyrande. Because does anybody really care? Inv helmet 44.pngInv helmet 119.png MoneygruberTheGoblinChieftain of the Gentleman Tribe(talk contribs) 01:19, 23 October 2011 (UTC)
Tyrande is more important that Velen on Azeroth, she is the hand of a Elune !
IconSmall Hamuul.gif Loremaster A'noob, Arch Druid of the Noobhoof Clan (talk/contribz) 07:41, 23 October 2011 (UTC)
Well I'm pretty sure we'll get Mogu boss arc, Mantid boss arc and Sha boss arc (and as someone already mentioned on Sha's page, they look like the window in Decent into Madness, hence they may be Old god reletaded, heck there may even be an Old god on Pandaria, since as we've already seen in Mogu's Palace layout there's a Titan repository).
About Velen and Tyrande etc. Velen must live 'til Legion expansion since he's pretty much tied with 'em. It'd be pointless to kill him prior to that, and Metzen or Chilton said that they want to give Tyrande some love after how Knaak made her into a damsel in distress, so I guess she won't die. I rather think we may see death of Jaina's bro and Garrosh for instance (praying for Garrosh's one). IconSmall BloodElf2 Male.gif Encaitar (DiscussionDeeds) 14:27, 24 October 2011 (UTC)
War itself is the final boss! Grissom (talk) 14:38, 24 October 2011 (UTC)
If one of the original mentions isn't one of the bosses, or a faction leader, than hoping on an Old God. They spaced C'Thun and Yoggg-Sarron by one expansion, so if that order continues than an Old God, most likely N'Zoth, will be in this expansion. And he/she/it wouldn't be a major antagonist for the expansion, because it would be part of the larger Old God story. Plus there is little revealed information on the Dread Wastes, so that may be where the Old God resides. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Raxel (talk · contr).
We are not strong enough for N'Zoth just yet... but soon. Snake.gifSssssssssssssssssssssssss Coobra sig3.gifFor Pony! (Sssss/Slithered) 04:56, 28 May 2012 (UTC)

Additional Dungeon names

I took a closer look at the map of Pandaria and noted that the 3 dungeons not discussed at BlizzCon at least have working names marked on the map. Unfortunately, this account is brand new (haven't seriously edited Wowpedia for so long I've completely forgot my login information to both the account and the e-mail account it was attached to) so with the protection on the article I can't add them myself.

I took the liberty of typing everything up, so anyone with an old enough account can feel free to copy-paste my work into the dungeon section of the article with any modifications they feel appropriate.

The Great Wall
Found on the boarder of the Vale of Eternal Blossoms and the Townlong Steppes. Nothing is else is officially known about the dungeon, although given it's location will likely feature the Mantid.
Mantid Colony
Found in the southwestern corner of the Townlong Steppes. Nothing else is officially known about this dungeon, although it is likely the Mantid will be featured here.
Mogu Palace
Found near the eastern edge of the Vale of Eternal Blossoms. Nothing else is offically known about this dungeon, although it will likely feature the Mogu.

That last one is probably Mogu'Shan Palace. --IconSmall Deathwing.gif Joshmaul, Loremaster of Chaos (Leave a Message) 09:17, 26 October 2011 (UTC)

Trailer

Could we put this in the article?

We were there. When the world of limitless adventure opened up before us. We rose defiantly against all those that threaten the peace of our kingdoms. We ventured to a new, alien world and cast the lords of shadow and flame back into the abyss. It was we, who held the line as death itself rose like a tide to swallow everything we held dear. We have endured the breaking of the world, and must now face the Destroyer and end his cycle of destruction. But soon... we will face a new chapter. An adventure unlike any we've known thus far. A mystery shrouded by superstition. A land of forgotten power and ancient magics. And a people that may well change the fate of us all. For all the challenges we have faced, and for all places we have been - Azeroth's limits are yet to be revealed.--Mordecay (talk) 14:24, 25 October 2011 (UTC)

It wasn't there for the Cataclysm article. So... no, not really. --g0urra[T҂C] 14:30, 25 October 2011 (UTC)

Update

I have updated the section about Scatlet monastery because it said than most bosses(Mograine,Doan,Fairbanks, etc) remained when the news of wowhead(http://www.wowheadnews.com/blog=201965/mists-of-pandaria-preview-the-scarlet-halls-and-cathedral-redesigns) says than in the beta most bosses were replaced, likely to match actual lore.(Fer seba 12 (talk) 21:34, 24 March 2012 (UTC))

Updating content who is not in game is unusual. Please put it into a seperate page till its release as we did during the cataclysm and wrath beta. --LemonBaby (talk) 21:51, 24 March 2012 (UTC)

Game Manual

Is it just me or is there no manual within the box this time?

IconSmall Hamuul.gif Loremaster A'noob, Arch Druid of the Noobhoof Clan (talk/contribz) 07:37, 28 September 2012 (UTC)

The standard and collector's edition for U.S. have a 'Quick Start Guide', which is just a leaflet telling you to go to their website for information. That seems to be the only thing. MerryC (talk) 08:09, 28 September 2012 (UTC)
Same for me in FR.

CE didn't come with trading cards either, most of the art in the artbook has been seen as well, and much of it already uploaded here... kind of a let down of the differences between CE and the digital copy.
