Unfortunately, copying and pasting the article text doesn't preserve the article's edit history or talk pages. :( The better option is to use Special:Movepage/Saurfang, but that isn't possible if a page already exists at the destination -- so High Overlord Saurfang needs to be nuked by a wiki admin first. Does that picture of a dead Saurfang belong here?

I mean, really, are we gonna start putting a picture of the corpses of Thrall, Tyrande, and whoever else a raiding guild manages to kill in their individual entries? I can see no reason for that besides trying to impress people. If such a picture belongs anywhere, I would suggest it belongs on the guild's page. "Facts"?

Does this loooooong list of Saurfang "facts"(that are blatantly ripped off of Chuck norris facts, I might add) need to be here? They really don't add anything to the page, except making it look bigger and less serious.

Axe speculation untrue

It seems that the speculation about Broxigar's axe is untrue - in the Battle for the Undercity quest chain Saurfang the Younger says his father has given him his axe and armor; in the battle at the Wrath Gate the Lich King breaks Saurfang's axe to pieces killing Saurfang the Younger. Quiet obvious the axe that harmed Sargeras himself cannnot be broken so easily by even Frostmourne. Moreover, Saurfang the Younger says it's his father's axe, not Brox's. One problem. What clan did he belong to?

Anyone know or theroize what clan Saurfang came from? I mean we all can clearly tell hes fought in all the wars and he participated in the massacre of the Draenei. It would be nice to know, him being legendary and all.

Honestly, I would say that he's most likely to have come from his own clan. Something small, like the various ones mentioned in Rise of the Horde that weren't ever featured as major clans. It would be fitting, I think, having Saurfang be the last survivor of a clan, or not be in a clan at all. The Cloven Foe Clan would make a fun name... :P Skreeran (talk) 11:11, 12 August 2009 (UTC)

Rhoin and Krasus

Do Rhoin and Krasus know that Varok is Broxigars brother? For those of you who havent read War of the Anchients, Rhoin, Krasus, and Broxigar went back 10,000 years into the past. I'm not gonna explan everything but Broxigar fought alongside Rhoin and Krasus and proved to be great help, so wouldnt it make senses that if in the second act Dalaran leads the assult that Rhoin would recommend Varok to help out? Makes senses to me, I just cant seem to get how Krasus didnt notice that Saurfang the Younger was Broxigars nephew as well:D-- Maelstrong 14:54, 5 April 2009 (UTC)

A Question

What does this recently added line mean?

"A GM revealed some information about Saurfang, giving small hints of him being part of the return of the Titans. This could be possible due to Algalon the Observer possibly sending a message to them. As we know, parts of this are true but we know nothing more at this time."

Blackrock clan

In the former affiliations it says the Blackrock clan. Since the clan is now more or less affiliated with the Horde, Varok is still a member of them or not? Is there any citation indicating he's not? --Ryon21 (talk) 15:17, 20 December 2017 (UTC)

A good amount of orcs, after joining the majority of the Horde, abandoned any clan ties they had. This seems to remain true as newer generations crop up and clans turn into organizations with less focus on the traditional aspects, such as the Shattered Hand and Warsong. A good amount of them seem to treat clans as a far-off memory and not something very modern. Protagonist

I'll just create this for the sake of the page and yadayada. Saurfang is not the PROTAGONIST but one of its main ones. You have different characters, factions, etc. Even Sylvanas is more predominant than Saurfang. You also have Anduin who appears in a few cinematics and is found in a lot of places. Definitely. While it is true that Varok appeared in most of the cinematics, there's some much stuff he doesn't appear in (as Ryon wrote in one of his summaries when reverting), so "one of the main protagonists" should be fine, especially if we want to respect/take into consideration other characters' appearances/roles and maybe even maintain a neutral point of view (to not pick "favorites"). If Varok was advertised by Blizzard to be the main xpack guy, then fine, but he wasn't, instead BlizzCon 2017 showed various other characters that were going to be important in beefa. -- Mordecay (talk) 09:00, 10 June 2020 (UTC)

Book of Heroes

In Uther's Book of Heroes, Varok is faced off at the Blackrock Spire (Siege of Blackrock Spire). Would it be ok to mention this battle on Varok's page and list Varok as a participant in the siege of Blackrock page? Although the book being somewhat lore-accurate, I imagine one opinion being HS being non-canon, so If not incorporate it directly, then at least have a note? --Mordecay (talk) 19:17, 6 January 2021 (UTC)
