Earth Shock is an Elemental shaman ability that deals damage based on Maelstrom spent.

It is an exclusive choice node with [Elemental Blast].

  • Cataclysm Patch 4.0.1 (2010-10-12): Attack speed reduction of the target increased to 20%. Now learned at level 5 (was 4).
  • Wrath of the Lich King Patch 3.2.0 (2009-08-04): Redesigned. This spell no longer interrupts spell casting, but rather reduces melee attack speed by 10% for 8 seconds (exclusive with similar effects such as [Thunder Clap]).
  • Burning Crusade Patch 2.3.0 (2007-11-13): Interrupting a channeled spell with this spell will now always properly prevent casting spells from the same spell school for 2 sec.
  • Burning Crusade Patch 2.1.0 (2007-05-22): Rank 8 is now properly considered an Interrupt effect for talents and abilities that affect interrupts.
  • Burning Crusade Patch 2.0.3 (2007-01-09): No longer generates extra threat.
  • World of Warcraft Patch 1.4.0 (2005-04-19): The visual for ranks two through seven has been changed to be consistent with rank one.
