Not Vezax
Just so we're clear on this, and it's not added again with an old blue comment made by Valnoth back in September of 2009. Tyr is NOT General Vezax.

A: The watcher Tyr was not in Ulduar when adventurers finally freed the titan city from Yogg-Saron's influence. If anyone knows where Tyr is now, he or she isn't speaking up.

Splitting
Since another Tyr was revealed not long ago, who apparently was linked to here, should there not be two articles? I'd suggest "Tyr" and "Tyr (watcher)" or "Watcher Tyr". --g0urra[T҂C]

- It seems fairly evident that the tales of the hero in fact refer to the watcher. As humans are offshoots of the vrykul, and the vrykul were created by the titans, it stands to reason that they would have knowledge of the watcher Tyr, and that their descendants, the humans, would have vague recollections of him as a "hero" from ages past. - And i find it hard to believe that the answer to the question "What's the relation between The Order of the Silver Hand, Tyr's Hand (City from Lordaeron region) and Watcher Tyr (from Ulduar)?" is that the only similarity between them is the name and nothin' else.
- And about my personal theory about who Tyr was. I believe he found out about Loken's corruption, and decided to leave Northrend. With him, he took the vrykul-born humans and travelled to a distant place far far away, Stranglethorn Vale. I believe Loken (ore one of his lieutenants) tried to stop Tyr and the humans from leaving, and they battled. To protect the humans Tyr sacrifed his hand. After the battle Tyr made a hand out of silver (which i believe really was Titanium). Is that theory enough for you Gourra? :P - Aedror42 (talk) 20:37, July 12, 2010 (UTC)
- Fair enough. However I believe you mean they traveled to Eastern Plaguelands instead of Stranglethorn Vale since, you know, Tyr's Hand is there. --g0urra[T҂C] 20:47, July 12, 2010 (UTC)
Actually i thought Stranglethorn Vale because it was far away from Northrend (almost as far away as possible) and because Aron Kodosbreath found some azotha ruins or something in Stranglethorn, but Tyr's Hand is also a possibility (although i had though of it as just named after the legend), both places seem reasonable. - Aedror42 (talk) 20:56, July 12, 2010 (UTC)
- As I said on the Tyr's Hand talk page, it seemed to be that Bornakk was saying that the Vrykul's experiences with the watcher Tyr eventually became (over thousands of year) legends and myths of a great hero named Tyr. It seems like too much coincidence otherwise to have the Guardian of Order Tyr be unrelated to a hero named Tyr who was a paragon of order. -- Dark T Zeratul (talk) 17:19, July 14, 2010 (UTC)
