Azotha

The Azotha were an ancient civilization of humans or ancestors of humans. Prior to the War of the Ancients, they warred against the jungle trolls.[1]
Millennia later, the Arathi humans named their land "Azeroth", in homage to their ancient ancestors.[2]
In recent times, Aron Kodosbreath of the Explorers' Guild led an expedition to the Savage Hills in Stranglethorn Vale to search for Azotha ruins and evidence of the titans. One of the titles in the report he submitted to the Guild is "The Azotha revealed",[3] but it is unknown if it means that they found evidence of the Azotha, or if they found living Azotha.
The Azotha may have been legendary for having gold, and this fact has made it into the modern dysphemism, "I'd give Azotha gold for a dull moment".[4]
