Stabling mounts

Can't a Stable Master be used to stable a mount also (which makes alot more sense)? It just happens that most players only ever use one mount at a time, a key example is the classes which get free mounts still have the option to get their racial mount (i.e. Dwarf Paladin could get a Ram, even thought they already have the Paladin war horse). --Fandyllic 2:05 PM PST 1 Feb 2006

No, just hunter pets. Can someone fill in the details for the Alterac Valley Alliance Stable Master? PhilHibbs 22:18, 15 June 2007 (UTC)
Umm... you can have more than one mount in your inventory, you do not need a stable.--SWM2448 22:20, 15 June 2007 (UTC)
He means that stable masters aren't used for mounts. Hunter pets can only have 1 active pet at a time, while the rest go in stables. Pzychotix (talk · contr) 23:06, 15 June 2007 (UTC)
I think it would be neat if we could *stable* our riding mounts instead of having them clutter up the bank if we're the nostalgic type and can't feel alright destroying an animal. How do you put a horse in a bank anyway? ---- Varghedin.jpg Varghedin  talk / contribs 08:10, 16 June 2007 (UTC)

Ehm... you just proved my point. :) ---- Varghedin.jpg Varghedin  talk / contribs 10:47, 16 June 2007 (UTC)

non-hunter uses??

I am a Mage and this stable master is opening the stable UI for me.

I am confused since I am not a hunter. Now stabling mounts would make sense if they didn't also add the ability to "learn" to summon as many mounts/companions as you wish without taking up item slots.

So I am completely at a loss as to what I would use the stable master for?? - Hillie (talk) 06:16, 14 December 2008 (UTC)

Nothing About Mounts?

There isn't so much as a little mention of how players could store mounts there prior to a recent patch. I believe this needs to be resolved.--Xaladar (talk) 11:19, 16 August 2009 (UTC)

I would encourage you to be bold and add this information to the article yourself. /chomp‎ Howbizr(t·c) 12:36 AM, 17 Aug 2009 (EDT)

Battle pet change

When the Pet Battle System was added in 5.0.4, these guys had a cooldown on their pet reviving powers. If you tried to ask again too soon, they used the quote about the baby dragon's leg. Now (5.3.0) it seems they can heal endlessly without cooldown and without using that message. The thing is, it's not mentioned in any of the patch notes (or hotfixes). Does anyone know when this change happened? -- Taohinton (talk) 23:05, 3 September 2013 (UTC)

I think they removed the cd soon after since it came with a cost using the stable masters. Snake.gifSssssssssssssssssssssssss Coobra sig3.gifFor Pony! (Sssss/Slithered) 01:35, 4 September 2013 (UTC)
Well, the change should be listed, so without further info I'll tentatively add it as 5.1.0. No changes to the system (besides a single bug fix) are listed from 5.0.4 til 5.1.0 (which brought many), so this seems like the best bet. -- Taohinton (talk) 18:28, 10 September 2013 (UTC)

Stablemaster NPC lists

Is it necessary to include a list of all the stable master NPCs, especially since -- with a single exception for WoD and BfA -- it appears that it hasn't been updated since Cataclysm? Seems like a lot of unneeded scrolling too. --Alayea (talk) 18:59, 6 May 2024 (UTC)

I don't feel this is particularly valuable, since as a general rule they can be found in nearly every town or city in the game. -- Dark T Zeratul (talk) 19:27, 8 May 2024 (UTC)
I also agree it's too large and it is redundant with categories now. I'm also going to "eventually" get around to updating stable masters using the itembox template. SirWeltschmerz (talk) 19:41, 8 May 2024 (UTC)
Agreeing with this as well. — SurafbrovWarcraft Wiki administrator T / C 00:06, 12 May 2024 (UTC)
