Lore

Is there much more lore? --User:Milcon

No, Spirit Healers are actually the Old Gods who bring us back to life and whisper to us and shape us to their will, When we finally kill Sargeras the next expansion will have the Spirit Healer :P --User:Shiniki

Not Quite Holy Angel

While I understand the Spirit Healer is modeled in the image of an angel, the actual terms "holy" and "angel" are never used in-game to describe this entity. While humans prior to the third war might have called it an holy angel, the "new" (by which I mean retconned) church of Light doesn't observe any Gods or divine beings that I am aware of, so describing the spirit healer as such is a point of view. I'll change the description to angelic instead and leave the link as-is, but I think the page would also benefit from a small blurb about the similarities with angels, or the demi-goddess whom she bares a striking resemblance to, Aviana. You raise a good point, but calling it "holy" isn't a POV violation, just out of touch with the source material.--Ragestorm (talk · contr) 15:11, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

Subliminal messages?

World of Warcraft Subliminal Messaging —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Selenion (talk · contr).

Astral plane

The guide says that they await in astral realm. The term astral realm is used for the Twisting Nether which is probably not the case for the spirit healers. Also, the guide wasn't exactly written as something lorey. Probably the sentence needs a bit of cleaning.--Mordecay (talk) 18:26, 22 August 2015 (UTC)

Warcraft Chronicle Vol 1

Chronicle reveals these are indeed uncorrupted Val'kyr hanging out in the Shadowlands (World of Warcraft: Chronicle Volume 1, pg. 57). DesertFly3 (talk) 02:36, 16 March 2016 (UTC)

Okay, but these guys are a pervasive and ongoing game mechanic. The page should stay.--SWM2448 02:38, 16 March 2016 (UTC)
Wouldn't a redirect pointing to the "Spirit Healer" heading in the Val'kyr article work? Seems simple enough. DesertFly3 (talk) 03:08, 16 March 2016 (UTC)
No big deal. For now, I've put a section for Spirit Healers into the Val'kyr article with a link back here. It can always be changed later if the community decides. DesertFly3 (talk) 03:36, 16 March 2016 (UTC)

Kyrian

I gonna say this: are Spirit healers... Actually kyrians instead of val'kyr? Just saying --Kandooww ^^ (talk) 14:01, 2 November 2019 (UTC)

Alpha

What did the spirit healer look like during the early alpha phases? Did they look like the spirit guides you see whenever you die in battlegrounds? --FenneyKindleFire (talk) 22:10, 25 May 2024 (UTC)

If alpha info isn't already on here, I can almost guarantee you we don't know the answer. You're going to have to go digging for that yourself. -- Dark T Zeratul (talk) 22:42, 25 May 2024 (UTC)
Ditto what DTZ said. Considering one of the IDs for the Spirit Healer is 6491, they were added very early into the game. — SurafbrovWarcraft Wiki administrator T / C 23:21, 25 May 2024 (UTC)
There are a fair number of early unused NPCs with the "Spirit Healer" title, but otherwise, what has already been stated applies. You can see a list here. PeterWind (talk) 00:28, 26 May 2024 (UTC)
Some of those named ones have even lower IDs than the one I shared previously. But yea, it'll be hard to tell at this point. — SurafbrovWarcraft Wiki administrator T / C 03:29, 26 May 2024 (UTC)
