Event name

Colloquial usage has always been "Demon Invasion" and it appears safe enough to say, by this point, that Blizzard agrees. Here are the sources to back up my reasoning:

Agree or disagree? -- Alayea (talk / contrib) 20:24, 15 July 2016 (UTC)

Now they're also using "Burning Legion Invasion" (see The Legion Pre-Expansion Patch Arrives July 19). *sigh* -- Alayea (talk / contrib) 04:04, 16 July 2016 (UTC)
I think this point we're set on "Legion Invasion". If Blizzard comes out with another preferred name we can move over to it. I'm going to remove the {{Move}} tag to clean up the article somewhat. --k_d3 01:38, 26 July 2016 (UTC)

The official name is indeed "Demon invasions" or "Legion invasions" : https://worldofwarcraft.com/en-gb/news/20506467/preview-legion-assaults-on-the-broken-isles -- MyMindWontQuiet (talk) 23:30, 1 February 2017 (UTC)

Old Gods Forces?

Granted I've only been paying attention to the demons, but are the Old Gods' forces actually present within the region? At the same time what confirmation is there that the Mudsnout tribe and the Wastewander have joined them?--X59 (talk) 08:26, 12 August 2016 (UTC)

No, they're not. There are a variety of local mobs that turn into allies of servants of the Legion during the invasion, but it would be disingenuous to consider them as anything other than allies of the Legion. -- Dark T Zeratul (talk) 08:31, 12 August 2016 (UTC)
The Mudsnout tribe and the Wastewander are not allies of the Legion, but they are hostile to the adventurers.Shammiesgun (talk)

Structures

What do we call the structures that appear in the invaded areas? The hotfix note on [Nethershard] refer to them as barracks. Do we just call them "Small Legion Barracks" and "Large Legion Barracks" Or simply "Legion Barracks" with a description of both kinds on the same page, or are they mentioned by proper term in any of the dialogues in the areas affected? PeterWind (talk) 22:15, 14 August 2016 (UTC)

I vote for "Small Legion Barracks" and "Large Legion Barracks".Shammiesgun (talk) 22:21, 14 August 2016 (UTC)
They just look like dimensional gateways, almost as if they were parts of Legion ships ... I'd put them both in a single "Legion Barracks" page Xporc (talk) 22:28, 14 August 2016 (UTC)
If they really need names, then we could default to the model names, though I don't know what they are yet.--SWM2448 03:26, 15 August 2016 (UTC)
On the invasion map, I'm pretty sure they're just called "Legion Structure." -- Dark T Zeratul (talk) 16:54, 15 August 2016 (UTC)
I went to an invasion and checked. The small ones are called "Invasion Site" on the map, while both the large structures, and portals, are called "Legion Structure". I don't mind creating a page for each of the three structures, but I think it be better to just put all three under a single page called "Legion Structures" since that's what 2/3 of them go by on the map. I'll make a page like that tomorrow evening with pictures and descriptions of the three, unless someone beats me to it. PeterWind (talk) 21:37, 15 August 2016 (UTC)
I think just making a single Legion Structures page is best, too. -- Dark T Zeratul (talk) 21:30, 16 August 2016 (UTC)
It is done. If you have additions or changes you wish to make, feel free to. The invasions don't last long, so writing proper descriptions might take a few invasions, but I'll get around to it. PeterWind (talk) 22:06, 16 August 2016 (UTC)
I'll add a few more information tomorrow. Thanks! Xporc (talk) 22:11, 16 August 2016 (UTC)

Inspiration for

Regarding whether "The Legion Invasions inspired the later Legion Assaults events" has/needs an official source, I submit Preview: Legion Assaults on the Broken Isles (particularly the Developer Insights) as a possibility. -- Alayea (talk / contrib) 22:17, 5 April 2017 (UTC)

Sandfury

Would someone remember any Sandfury trolls present in Tanaris during the invasions? --Mordecay (talk) 11:40, 23 August 2018 (UTC)

Yes. I remember seeing them. However, there is no way to prove it unless there are some videos on YouTube. — SurafbrovWarcraft Wiki administrator T / C 19:21, 23 August 2018 (UTC)
