patch 2.3

Added Neutral Flight Master Dyslix Silvergrub from Mudsprocket, Dustwallow Marsh, added in patch 2.3 that went live today. Also corrected Kiz Coilspanner as having a bat and a gryphon, rather than a gryphon and a wyvern, and moved him up to a more consistent position amongsth the neutral flight masters (which seems to be by aproximate level of zone?). Neutral flight master table

Added missing flight masters from Cataclysm (3 neutral from Uldum; 1 neutral, 5 horde, 2 alliance from Twilight Highlands). Added note to the alliance Andorhal fp that it's eventually lost during the questline; added note to the horde fp in Ruins of Gilneas that it's gained and later lost during the questline (any know exact names of quests where this happens?) and corrected note about Archerus (it's no longer true that non-DKs can't get to it; they can now, with a flying mount; however, they still can't use it. If they try to hail Grimwing will just get the message "you don't know any flight paths connected to this location.") Troodon9999 (talk) 01:02, 13 February 2011 (UTC)

I'll go ahead and add that in. Also, I removed the outdated tag as it's up to date now as far as I can tell. Did some minor cleaning up (added "added in 4.0.3" where appropriate but removed that from flight masters that are part of the cata expansion directly. )Troodon9999 (talk) 17:10, 14 February 2011 (UTC)

Last thing I can see that needs updated are the Vashj'ir flight masters for Stygian Bounty (horde) and Voldrin's Hold (alliance); these don't become available until the part of the questline shortly after you've finished the series of quests where you control the naga. Anyone know what specific quests those are? I'll try to figure it out from this site if possible. Will add it when I figure it out or someone else does. Added a placeholder comment that this happens shortly after completing the "Visions of the Past" storyline. Shortly after this you're asked to report to someone on Voldrin's Hold (if you're alliance) or someone on Stygian Bounty (if you're horde). It's after completing whatever quest that is that the flight points become available. If anyone knows what specific quests those are, let me know; they don't seem to be on this site yet. Ok figured it out, it's the quest "A Breath of Fresh Air" which this site has down as a neutral quest (technically it's two separate quests with the same exact namer for the alliance/horde versions, but I can see why it made sense to merge them). Troodon9999 (talk) 18:10, 14 February 2011 (UTC)

Subtle change

hmm, e.g. I just got to Silver Tide Hollow but already have all the flightpoints in Vashj'ir, the same is the case in Outland and Azeroth in zones I haven't traveled yet. TherasTaneel (talk) 23:34, 10 August 2011 (UTC)

Not sure precisely when they made this change, think it was shortly after Cataclysm launched, but you automatically learn flight points as you become level-appropriate for the zone. There are a few exceptions, such as flight points that require certain quests to unlock, and this isn't true for MoP flight points, but this is generally the case now. Mists of Pandaria

I've been trying to add a few of the new Pandaria flight masters, as I find them and confirm them. However there is no icon for kites as of yet (I've been following the formula as if there were); could someone create an icon for this? Also, linking to "kite" brings up the page on kiting. There's also no small race icons for Mantids, and for a hot air balloon (the "flight master" for Nesingwary's Safari in Valley of the Four Winds is a hot air ballon (The Killem' Jaro). Troodon9999 (talk) 16:11, 30 September 2012 (UTC)

Oh and P.S., there already are icons for Pandaren children (use boy/girl instead of male/female); as far as I can tell Princeton is the only Pandaren child who's a flight master (at Pang's Stead, Valley of the Four Winds). 05:14, 9 October 2012 (UTC)

Mists of Pandaria, cont'd

I think I have all the known flightmasters in Pandaria added. The only one that eludes me, I know he exists, but not what his name is, is the horde specific flight master at Grookin Hill in Jade Forest. The area is phased, and as an alliance character, you're never in the phase that sees it converted into a horde base (on a horde character you're required to do some quests to win over the hozen to the horde, then this area becomes a horde base). Could any horde confirm the name of this flightmaster, and also what quest needs to be completed to make the flight point available? Thanks. Also, The Lion's Redoubt (on the Serpent's Spine, technically in Dread Wastes) has no page for it yet. A few flight masters are missing articles. But other than the name of the Grookin Hill flightmaster, I've personally confirmed every MoP fp. Patch 5.1

Added the horde and alliance flight masters for Domination Point/Lion's Landing respectively, in Krasarang Wilds. (there isn't a page yet for the horde quest "Domination Point" but there should be eventually I hope.) P.S. Any horde players out there know the name (also race, gender, and what type of vehicle he/she provides) of the Grookin Hill flightmaster? Finally found it! The flight master for Grookin Hill is a hozen named "Grookin Flapmaster" (more a title than a name, but that's what he's called apparently). Corrected it. No article for this flight master as of yet. Troodon9999 (talk) 01:52, 28 November 2012 (UTC)

Also fixed a minor annoyance, that the horde flight master for Thrallmar, Barley, had a link that went to the cooking ingredient barley, not the npc lol... the link here now appropriately goes to the article for the flight master and no longer shows the ingredient icon for barley. Supposedly the default phase for Theramore Isle was supposed to be changed to after its destruction for everyone (regardless of whether or not they've completed the Theramore's Fall scenario) this patch but that wasn't implemented. Still, if a given player has completed the scenario, they are phased to after its destruction; even if they return to the per-destrcution phase by talking to Zidormi they still can't use the flight point anymore. Aludane Whitecloud-Legion

What do you mean all post-legion flights masters, I only ever noticed it used going from Dalaran to anywhere else. I think Broken Shore does this as well, but I know the rest of the Broken Isles does a default one. — SurafbrovWarcraft Wiki administrator T / C 14:41, 4 September 2018 (UTC)

In BfA you can use your mount instead of the default. Anyway, as Horde character, I always use with Aludane the HD wyvern, and I don't have it--Kandooww ^^ (talk) 15:06, 4 September 2018 (UTC)
