The Sun Gate is a portal located near the Vector Coil in Bloodmyst Isle.[18.9, 63.5] It was opened by the Sunhawks, servitors of Sun King Kael'thas Sunstrider, in order to allow blood elf reinforcements from the fortress of Tempest Keep to enter the Azuremyst Isles, with the intent of retaking the Exodar.
The portal, which didn't seem to close, showed the front of Tempest Keep. Draenei adventurers were called upon to destabilize and destroy it, sealing off the entry point for Kael'thas' elves to enter Azeroth.
