The massive, jagged spires of the Orc Stronghold are a constant reminder to the Horde of their power and dominance. As the center of larger Orcish settlements, the Stronghold can process resources in the same fashion as a Great Hall - and the overseer can induce the production of more gold from the pitiful worms under his command. These intimidating structures of steel and stone use techniques in their construction that serve as strong barriers, greatly reducing the damage inflicted by attacking forces. Convinced of their innate superiority as warriors, Troll Berserkers and Ogres will only act under the direction of an overseer who has proven himself capable enough to establish a Stronghold. As need and resources dictate, a Stronghold can be reinforced and refitted as a Fortress.[1]
Information
- A Stronghold is an upgraded Great Hall. It allows you to build Ogre Mounds and Goblin Alchemists and has 200 extra HP.
- It also makes your gold mining more efficient: whenever a Peon delivers gold, 110 gold will be added to your stockpile instead of 100. Note that merely having at least one Stronghold is enough - you will get the bonus gold even if the peasant delivers it to a Great Hall somewhere else on the map.
