Shimmering Deep

The Shimmering Deep (or simply the Deep)[1] is a massive lake, formerly Shimmering Flats until the Cataclysm shattered the mountain wall that separated the Shimmering Flats from the ocean. The gnomes and goblins working together built a Speedbarge at the center of the lake and continue "working" relations with each other. Salvage operations for things lost to the Cataclysm take place in the Deep, some of them performed by Gazlowe.[1]
A crystal shard of Aramar Thorne's compass was located at the bottom. Some time after the Cataclysm, it was found by Aram and his group.[1]
Notes
- As the name suggests, its water is shimmering.[1]
- The Galak centaur can be found at the northern shelf.
- The Southsea Pirates can be found at the eastern shelf.
- While questing players are given a
[River Boat] to allow them to travel in the zone.
