Shimmering Deep

The Shimmering Deep (or simply the Deep)[1] is a massive lake, formerly Shimmering Flats until the Cataclysm shattered the mountain wall that separated the Shimmering Flats from the ocean. The gnomes and goblins working together built a Speedbarge and continue "working" relations with each other. Salvage operations for things lost to the Cataclysm take place in the Deep, some of them performed by Gazlowe.[1]
A crystal shard of Aramar Thorne's compass was located at the bottom. Some time after the Cataclysm, it was found by Aram and his group.[1]
Notes
- As the name suggests, its water is shimmering.[1]
- The Galak centaur can be found at the northern shelf.
- The Southsea Pirates can be found at the eastern shelf.
- Fizzle and Pozzik's Speedbarge is found at the center of the lake.
- While questing players are given a
[River Boat] to allow them to travel in the zone.
