Tahonda Ruins in Classic.

The Tahonda Ruins used to be a tauren village that was destroyed and abandoned. The ruins now lay underwater in the southern reaches of Shimmering Deep[77, 87] near the path through the mountain to Tanaris. Little to no information was known about this village. The ruins were inhabited by Saltstone basilisks, which might have been the reason why it was abandoned. An attack was believed to have happened evidenced by the two sets of three parallel tears in the leather of one of the buildings.

When the area was flooded due to the Cataclysm, the basilisks were killed and debris floated to the surface.

Patch changes

  • Cataclysm Patch 4.0.3a (2010-11-23): While the area still exists underwater, the named subzone was removed.
