Ralara is a Highborne mage. Originally a night elf, she perished and was raised as a Darkfallen during the Fourth War.
History
She was dispatched by Malfurion Stormrage to Ashenvale in an effort to aid Commander Delaryn Summermoon in defending the night elves' lands against the massive Horde invasion led by Sylvanas Windrunner in the War of the Thorns. Despite helping to burn the bridges spanning the Falfarren River under Delaryn's orders in an attempt to slow the invasion, she and the other Highborne were all targeted and killed by the Forsaken dark rangers and possibly their Warchief herself later on in the conflict.[1]
Following her death, her body was encountered by the Horde in their quest to resurrect Delaryn Summermoon as a Forsaken.[2]
Ralara was raised as a Darkfallen, and years later relocated to Twilight Watchtower in Amirdrassil. She appears to be getting a lesson from Azj'Tordin.

Trivia
- Despite dying in Ashenvale Horde adventurers discovered her body at Delaryn's Demise. While this does show that her body was moved Nathanos Blightcaller only ordered for Delaryn, and later Sira Moonwarden, to be raised into undeath.
- This suggests that Ralara may have originally been among those raised as Forsaken or the corpse was added in error.
- Her appearance in Dragonflight confirms she was resurrected off-screen.
