The Obsidian Oathstone.

The Obsidian Oathstone is the oathstone of the black dragonflight, located in the southern courtyard of the Obsidian Citadel in the Waking Shores. It represents the promise that Neltharion made to defend Azeroth and the deep places of the earth. When Neltharion broke his oath and became Deathwing, the stone broke as well.[1] Millennia later, when the djaradin captured the Obsidian Citadel, they looted fragments from the stone and dispersed them in the vaults beneath the Citadel.[2]

During Wrathion and Sabellian's assault on the Obsidian Citadel, Wrathion wanted to activate the oathstone to restore his flight's power and signal their return to the Dragon Isles, only to find the stone cracked.[1] Adventurers retrieved the scattered fragments with Archivist Edress and Scalecommander Emberthal,[2] after which Forgemaster Bazenthus used the Earth-Warder's Forge and Wrathion's own flame breath to reform them.[3][4] Wrathion then placed the reformed fragments back on the stone, repairing[5] and re-empowering it.[6]
