Navigator Xennir is an aranakk of the House of Eyes who plays a prominent role in the Necrolords Campaign alongside her sister, Whisperer Vyn, and her pet deathroc Twigin.

Biography

Along with her three soulbinds, including her sister Whisperer Vyn, Navigator Xennir was part of the crew who maintained Nurakkir, the House of Eyes' necropolis. When Nurakkir collapsed, Xennir and Vyn were the only members of the group who survived. Xennir was traumatized by the event[1] and, according to her, her pet deathroc Twigin was the only thing she had left.[2]

Xennir and Vyn remained at the ruined necropolis as it began being scavenged by members of the House of Constructs, until the Eyes' baroness Vashj and her Maw Walker allies returned to ask for the Eyes' help in stealing a necropolis for the Necrolord forces at the Seat of the Primus. Vashj's plan would require a well-coordinated crew, so Vyn sent the Maw Walkers to find Xennir on the other side of the necropolis and guide her through her grief so she could join them.[1] Xennir told the outsiders that she would like nothing more than to serve as navigator again, but Twigin had been captured by spiders in the nearby Bony Spindles and she refused to abandon her best friend. Xennir regretted having to kill the spiders, who were once servants of the House of Eyes, but stated that her skills would be useless without Twigin's direction. Once the Maw Walkers had rescued Twigin, Xennir joined Vyn and the others[2] and helped them take control of Nurakkir by killing Gorgantus the Gutter.[3]

Shortly after, the Maw Walkers and Eyes put Vashj's plan into action by infiltrating the House of Constructs' Ossein Foundry to steal the Constructs' own necropolis, the Zerekriss.[4] The group split up and Xennir and the Maw Walkers snuck into the foundry to rendezvous with Ansid the Mechanic, but along the way they were discovered by the Constructs' darkhounds and Xennir concluded that the Constructs were prepared for the Eyes' arrival.[5] This was confirmed when Xennir and the Maw Walkers reached the rendezvous point and met with Khaliiq, who revealed that Ansid had been captured by the foundry's guards.[6] The Maw Walkers swiftly freed Ansid,[7] after which the group killed the foundry's overseer Enforcer Borgulla and captured a mooring platform[8] from which the Maw Walkers could travel to the necropolis' apex and use a keystone to take command of it.[9] Vyn, Xennir, and the others quickly steered the Zerekriss away from the House of Constructs to have it patrol around Maldraxxus.[10] Aboard, the Maw Walkers also discovered the Bindings of Fleshcrafting—one of the armor pieces that once belonged to the Primus himself—and brought them back to the Seat of the Primus.[11]
