The House of Eyes is one of the five houses that rule Maldraxxus, whose members are called the Eyes.[1][2][3] Filled with those who fought, lived, and died by their wits and cunning, it was a tenacious and cunning force in Maldraxxus. As befit its name, it was the intelligence arm of Maldraxxus, gathering intel in the worlds of the living and the dead. The Eyes have developed ways to extract information without words, extracting the memory directly from their mind.[4] Some members are expert marksmen assassins.[5][6] While regrowing, they've established a method for spying on the other realms, using eyes placed at the House of Rituals, the Eonian Archives, Tirna Vaal and Castle Nathria.[7]

Every House of Maldraxxus has two Barons.[8] Draka and Lady Vashj were the two Baronesses of the House of Eyes, but Draka changed Houses, so only Vashj remains such. Draka, an orc warrior who changed herself from a sickly young woman, into a warrior, is one of its few surviving members, and is now a member of the House of the Chosen.

It was destroyed at some point before the events of Shadowlands, but after the events of Wrath of the Lich King. The House was once protected by the surrounding insects as a first defense,[9] but the spiders have grown increasingly hostile since their fall.[10]

Notes

  • During development, it was known as the "House of Many Eyes". The old name can still be found in the Plaguefall dungeon, on the skeletons known as Defenders of Many Eyes.
