The Mosshide tribe is a gnoll tribe native to Wetlands and recently moved into Loch Modan. Like their fellow gnolls in the Redridge Mountains and Elwynn Forest, they have proven a continual nuisance to other locals, including a protracted engagement with the Dark Iron dwarves in the Wetlands following the Cataclysm. On another occasion, they managed to pilfer eight ingots from the Ironforge Royal Treasury.

Perhaps the tribe's greatest collective achievement, however, is their leadership of the Axis of Awful. It was the Mosshide who first made overtures to the other constituent races of the Axis and negotiated that frightening if fragile truce between them. Though the Axis was ostensibly disbanded due to the work of adventurers, the Mosshide continue to harry the dwarves of Ironforge and any others unlucky enough to travel through their territories.

• True to their name, they have mossy hides, from which a damage-absorbing growth may spawn when damaged.
