- When cast, Mirror Image reduces the mage's threat by an amount equal to [Fade].
- Mirror Images will cast [Frostbolt] repeatedly until they disappear.

- Mirror Image is...
- One of the Blademaster's abilities in Warcraft III. Its description in the Reign of Chaos game manual reads: "One of the blademasters' more mystical abilities is to create duplicate phantom images of themselves. Though the phantom images can move about freely of their own volition, they are not true entities unto themselves."
- A rare mage ability in the Trading Card Game. Its flavor text reads: "'How do you know which one is real?!' —Dizdemona"
- A basic mage spell (and minion) in Hearthstone. Its flavor text reads: "Oh hey it's Mirror Image! !egamI rorriM s'ti yeh hO"
- One of Samuro's basic abilities in Heroes of the Storm.
- Blademaster Telaamon can summon his own mirror images. Kalecgos summoned multiple mirror images in his search for the Azure Oathstone in the Azure Span on the Dragon Isles, and so did Archmage Khadgar when he aided Kalecgos.

- Patch 10.0.5 (2023-01-24): Fixed an issue with Mirror Image losing all images when hit with a direct damaging attack or spell while [Reabsorption] or [Reduplication] were not talented.
- Patch 10.0.0 (2022-10-25): Now a row 4 class talent (was a level 44 ability).
- Patch 9.0.1 (2020-10-13): No longer a Talent and is learned by all Mages at level 44 (was a level 90 talent). Mirror Images damage greatly reduced, [Frostbolt] added to all Mirror Images, and while your images are active, damage taken is reduced by 20%. Taking direct damage will cause one of your images to dissipate.
- Patch 7.1.5 (2017-01-10):
- Mirror Images' [Fireball] damage increased by 122%.
- Mirror Images' Frostbolt damage increased by 80%.
- Patch 7.0.3 (2016-07-19): Now a level 45 talent (was 90).
- Hotfix (2015-02-25): Fixed an issue where images summoned by Mirror Image would incorrectly retain threat when resummoned.
- Patch 6.1.0 (2015-02-24): Copies of Frost mages now deals 15% less damage with Frostbolt.
- Patch 6.0.2 (2014-10-14): Mirror Images now inherit 100% of the mage's Spell Power (was 5%), last 40 sec (was 30), and have a 2 min cooldown (was 3 min). Now a level 90 talent (was a level 49 ability).
- Patch 5.3.0 (2013-05-21): Created copies no longer cast [Fire Blast], but their Frostbolts do 10% more damage.
- Patch 5.2.0 (2013-03-05): Frostbolt cast by Mirror Images now deals 50% more damage.
- Patch 5.0.4 (2012-08-28): Now learned at level 49 (was 50).
- Patch 4.0.1 (2010-10-12): Mirror Image health increased. Now trainable at level 50 (was 80).
- Patch 3.3.0 (2009-12-08): Health on the mirror images has been increased.
- Patch 3.2.0 (2009-08-04):
- Images will no longer trigger the death sound when their time expires.
- The mirror images will no longer complete casts of Frostbolt on targets which are Polymorphed at the time their Frostbolt channel finishes.
- Patch 3.1.2 (2009-05-19): The images summoned by this spell will now target the creature that most hates the Mage, and should no longer cast Fire Blast or Frostbolt on targets that are affected by crowd control debuffs that break immediately on damage unless they are already casting these spells when crowd control is applied.
- Patch 3.1.0 (2009-04-14):
- Mirror Image will no longer cast [Polymorph].
- Mirror Image now triggers a global cooldown on all spells.
- Patch 3.0.8 (2009-01-20): The Mirror Image Polymorph ability now has a range of 8 yards. In addition, Mirror Images will no longer have excessive threat values assigned to them when they are created.
