Lysander Starshade is a night elf mage and a new recruit of the Sentinels. He is the younger brother of the warden Arko'narin Starshade.

History

Dragonflight

Before face marks.

After a resurgence of demonic activity in Felwood, Lysander, his sister Arko'narin, and the night elf adventurer made haste for Felwood and saw the area infested with demons as well as the bodies of slain Sentinels. They found Maiev kneeling over a deceased Kaylessa Duskwhisper, who noted that the nearby moonwell was corrupted and asked for their aid in cleansing it. Arko'narin revealed the area is sacred to their family, being the place her parents slept when they were called to the Emerald Dream. With the outside clear, they advanced into Shadow Hold and extinguished the braziers fueling the ritual corrupting the land. As they moved through the burrow, they soon found the cultist responsible for corrupting Felwood and slayed him, but not before he was able to summon Lord Hel'nurath. Maiev pursued the dreadlord herself and ordered Arko'narin, Lysander, and the champion clear Shadow Hold of his minions. Once they caught up to Maiev, Lysander began to channel a spell to break through Hel'nurath's shield, while Arko'narin and the champion protected him. When the spell was finished, Lysander broke through the dreadlord's defenses, allowing Maiev to deliver the killing blow. With the area crumbling around them, Lysander opened a portal outside and they escaped. Without the dreadlord's influence, the moonwell was purified. Impressed by Lysander's work, Maiev admitted she was wrong about Tyrande's decision to allow arcane users back into their ranks and offered to bestow upon him the mark of the protector. They returned to Stormwind Embassy, where Maiev performed the ritual to grant Lysander the mark of protector, allowing him to begin training with the Sentinels.

He also attended the gathering in Amirdrassil when it bloomed on the Dragon Isles after Fyrakk's death. Afterward, he can be found in the Keen-Edge Hall in Bel'ameth, having joined the Sentinels on Maiev's recommendation. His first lesson from General Feathermoon was to learn history before learning the glaive.

The War Within

Following the destruction of Dalaran, he and his sister accompanied the Alliance fleet when they sailed to the Isle of Dorn to aid in the war against Xal'atath and the nerubians of Azj-Kahet.

Abilities

Feralas

•  Arcane Blast — Blasts the target with energy, dealing Arcane damage. Each time you cast Arcane Blast, the damage of all Arcane spells is increased by 60% and mana cost of Arcane Blast is increased by 30%. Effect stacks up to 4 times and lasts until canceled or until any Arcane damage spell except Arcane Blast is cast.
•  Arcane Explosion — Sends out a blast wave of magic, inflicting Arcane damage to nearby enemies.
•  Ice Block — You become encased in a block of ice, protecting you from all physical attacks and spells for 8 sec, but during that time you cannot attack, move or cast spells. Also causes Hypothermia, preventing you from recasting Ice Block for 30 sec.
•  Invisibility — Gives the imbiber invisibility for 15 sec.
•  Slow — Increases the time between an enemy's attacks by 25%, casting time increased by 25% and slows its movement by 25% for 6 sec.
