“I serve the Alliance because it is High Priestess Tyrande and Archdruid Malfurion's will, and I am loyal to them. But the divisions between the Horde and Alliance are false ones.”

— Lintharel's reply after being told the Horde druids of the Cenarion Circle were now her enemies

Lintharel was stationed aboard the Elwynn which was stationed off of the coast Tanaris due to the Horde presence in the area.

History

She worked with the Cenarion Circle, including Archdruid Hamuul Runetotem (whom she considered one of its greatest members) on Mount Hyjal during the Cataclysm, and also developed a friendship with another tauren Nita. She counts Atropa, who looks exactly like her, as a member of her family and is friends with the dwarven siblings Baenan and Trialin.

When Li Li Stormstout was forced overboard the Elwynn picked her up and Lintharel tended to her as she recovered. When negotiations opened up between the Horde and Alliance each side sent a diplomat to the other side- Nita was sent to the Alliance and Baenan was sent to the Horde. However, soon after arriving, Nita was placed in chains and Captain Heller claimed that Nita had attacked him when in reality she been taken her prisoner because he wanted to ensure that the Horde sail back to Durotar.

When learning that the Horde was demanding their surrender and that not complying would see Baenan die, Heller declared that if Baenan's life was forfeit then so too was Nita's. A confrontation erupted as Lintharel spoke in Nita's defense, declaring that she was just as much as a victim as anyone, and countering that to betray a friend would be an equal sin after her commander accused her of committing treason against the Alliance. With Li Li and Trialin aiding Lintharel, Nita was freed. Although Heller was able to take advantage of the Warchief's Fist exploding to ram his sword through Lintharel, severely wounding her, he was slain by Atropa before he could finish her.

Soon after the Elwynn sank into the sea, with Baenan, Trialin, Lintharel, Atropa, and Nita moving towards land, and Chen and Li Li returning on their quest to reach Pandaria.[1]
