Joq was a human fisherman out of Theramore who traded with orc farmers for crops. Due to increased tension with the Horde, his fishing trawler Passion's Reward was escorted by footmen from Northwatch. After docking at Ratchet he got into an argument about the quality of the orc Klatt's crops. When the fight escalated to physical violence, the goblin bruiser Muzzlecrank was forced to arrest both men.
After news of the arrest of Captain Joq reached Northwatch, Major Davin sent word to Theramore to ask for more reinforcements. A move that would be seen by the Horde as an act of aggression.[1]
