Once a devoted protector of the Emerald Dream, this formerly majestic ancient has been ravaged by flame and now only seeks to destroy.

Overview

Gnarlroot tills the soil with Shadowflame, spawning corrupted allies and creating Shadow-Scorched Earth. Upon reaching 100 energy, Gnarlroot casts Potent Fertilization, absorbing energy from the ground with Doom Roots. Gnarlroot inflicts increasing damage to all players until his roots are destroyed, sending him into a state of Uprooted Agony.

Damage Dealers

Standing near dormant Tainted Lashers and Tainted Treants when Controlled Burn expires causes them to activate.
Ember-Charred players can ignite Doom Roots by touching them.
Gnarlroot takes 100% increased damage when afflicted by Uprooted Agony.

Healers

Tortured Scream inflicts significant damage to all players
While channeling Potent Fertilization, Gnarlroot pulses increasing damage to all players.
Gnarlroot gains a stack of Rising Mania upon removal of Uprooted Agony.

Tanks

Dreadfire Barrage inflicts significant damage and increases Shadowflame damage taken.
When awakened, Tainted Lashers attack nearby players.
Ember-Charred players can ignite Doom Roots by touching them.
