The Gate of the August Celestials is the southern border of Kun-Lai Summit with the Vale of Eternal Blossoms. Just west is the Shado-Pan Fallback and Firebough Nook, Westwind Rest is to the north, and the Chow Farmstead and Eastwind Rest are to the northeast.
The quest chain to open the gate takes place in the Temple of the White Tiger, starting with 
[20-35] A Celestial Experience.
During the rise of N'Zoth, the gate was closed and defended by the Rajani and Chen Stormstout.
