It is an exclusive choice node with [Hailstorm].

Tips and tactics

• Highly useful in raid situations usually involving lots of trash mobs. Shamans can run cast Flame Shock on one mob, use [Lava Lash] on that target to spread FS to other enemies, and then cast Fire Nova.

Patch changes

• Hotfix (2024-10-23): Resolved an issue causing Fire Nova to be disabled while there are [Flame Shock] targets around.
  
• Patch 11.0.5 (2024-10-22): Now unavailable when there are no Flame Shock targets within 40 yards.
  
• Hotfix (2024-09-17): Damage increased by 40% in PvP combat.
  
• Hotfix (2024-06-05): Damage increased by 10%.
  
• Patch 10.1.0 (2023-05-02): Now deals both Fire and Physical spell school damage.

  Old: Causes the shaman's active Fire totem to emit a wave of flames, inflicting Fire damage to enemies within 10 yards of the totem.
