In the Journey to Un'Goro expansion, Elise leads an expedition of junior explorers[2] into the depths of Un'Goro Crater as Elise the Trailblazer. Her flavor text reads: "Reno taught her that blazing her own trail is a lot more fun than following someone else's map."
In the Saviors of Uldum expansion, Elise reappears alongside the rest of the League of Explorers to save Uldum from the League of E.V.I.L.. In this incarnation, she is a legendary druid card known as Elise the Enlightened. Her flavor text reads: "From cartographer to combatant, Elise has taken the road less traveled—because no one else could find it on a map."
Players who prepurchased the Saviors of Uldum Mega Bundle unlocked Elise as an alternate druid hero. Her flavor text reads: "Before she became an explorer, Elise taught young druids. Her ability to tolerate immature minds hasn't changed at all!"
Her Lunar Festival themed BattlegroundsHero skin has her cosplay as one of the Two Qiaos; sisters of exceptional beauty who were the pivot to the Battle of Chibi, one of the most impactful battles of the pre-Three Kingdoms period. The Qiao sisters' names were not recorded in history, so in later times they are simply referred to as Da Qiao (literally "older Qiao"), played by Elise and Xiao Qiao (literally "younger Qiao"), played by Aranna. Her flavor text reads: The two sisters of legend could not be more different. The peaceful explorer Elise adds beauty and sophistication to every tale.
One of her Battlegrounds Hero skins has her in the the Conqueror's Nightsong Battlegear, the Tier 8 25-Man verison of the balance druid set, proof of her involvement in the Ulduar raid. Her flavor text reads: Nightsong Battlegear was a natural choice for a Starseeker.
In the Showdown in the Badlands expansion, Elise reappears with Reno, Lone Ranger and a band of noble outlaws to stop Sheriff Barrelbrim and the Bloodrock Mining Co. from bleeding the land dry of [Azerite] unearthed after the Shattering, disrupting the Badlands and awakening slumbering elementals and driving them into a frenzy. This story takes place before Elise joined the League of Explorers. In this incarnation, she is a legendary priest minion card known as Elise, Badlands Savior Her flavor text reads: From the library to the field, she's proved herself to be a leading intellectual.
A variant of her shows Elise as an alternate priest hero. Her flavor text reads: Most people wouldn't have seen through the Bloodrock Company's plans. But Elise was not like most people.
In the majority of her artworks, Elise's eyes do not glow despite her being a night elf. Only her druid art and her WoW NPC model show her with glowing eyes.
