Brewfest
The subject of this article or section is part of Brewfest, a seasonal event that lasts two weeks. Once the event has run its course, this will no longer be available until next year, but there are no guarantees.

Brewfest Prize Tokens are the currency of Brewfest.

Source

This item is a quest reward from the following quests:

Battle for Azeroth This section concerns content related to Battle for Azeroth.

The mission Holiday Hoppy Brewfest! rewards 10 Brewfest Prize Token with a bonus of an additional 5 tokens. It is available for 5 days with a base duration of 36 hours and a starting cost of 50 War Resources.

As currency

On retail realms as of 2025, four vendors are located at the Brewfest camps outside Ironforge and Orgrimmar during the event.

Getting more tokens

There are three ways of getting tokens daily:

Gossipgossipicon.png Beating your mount like a rented mule - 2 Brewfest Prize Token per circuit
After completing B [1-80] There and Back Again, request one more 4-minute ram ride from the quest-giver. Gain two tokens and 30 seconds more mount time for every circuit completed, up to a limit of 15 minutes. This was previously not a daily quest (and actually reset every 18 hours!), but is now controlled via the daily quest B [1-80 Daily] Brew For Brewfest.
Repeatableavailable Yelling at the top of your lungs - 15 Brewfest Prize Token
Available after B [1-80] Now This is Ram Racing... Almost.. Two stands at your faction's Brewfest will seek barkers to advertise for them. Run to four different locations in your faction's respective Brewfest-hosting city on a rented ram. (Orgrimmar for Horde, Ironforge for Alliance) The ram mount is needed to complete the objectives, but you may use your regular mount to return to the quest giver after you have barked at all 4 locations, if you see fit.
Combat Blades 16x16.png Throwing mugs at Dark Iron dwarves - 10 Brewfest Prize Token
Every half hour, a legion of Dark Iron dwarves will pop out of tunneling machines in the ground. Toss Alcohol-Free Brewfest Samplers at the dwarves by facing one and taking a drink in order to stop them from destroying the kegs. Gain the samplers by looting them from the tables all around the Brewfest area. After you have a mug, use it to drink and toss the mug to a dwarf in front of you. After tossing, your sample will re-fill, allowing you to continually toss the mugs.
Once the dwarves have retreated, Dark Iron Mole Machine Wreckage is left behind, which can be turned in once-daily for 10 tokens. This appears near the center of where the battle has taken place as a large dark gray gear with the familiar blue exclamation mark (Repeatableavailable) for a daily quest. Accept the B [120 Daily] This One Time, When I Was Drunk... quest. Travel a short distance to turn it in and receive 10 tokens.

Spending tokens wisely

In the past, players were able to sell back items they may have mistakenly purchased, this however lead players to earn specific achievements by purchasing the required items and after earning the achievements would sell them back in order to purchase the vanity items. Doing this is no longer possible, so players should prioritize what they would like to have, because it's not possible to get everything in one year.

Patch changes

  • The War Within Hotfix (2025-09-24): Brewfest Prize Tokens are now Warbound.
  • Wrath of the Lich King Hotfix (2009-09-20): There has been a change to the way holiday tokens and items work. If an item's tooltip says it requires that holiday, that means it will remain as long as the holiday is up and will automatically disappear from your inventory when the holiday ends.
  • Burning Crusade Patch 2.4.3 (2008-07-15): Added.
