Baroness Ninadar was one of the two barons of the House of Rituals. She held the title of Mistress of Tomes, meaning she was in charge of the house's library at the Grimoirium.[1]

Biography

Kel'Thuzad, the other Ritualist baron, asked Ninadar to assemble a list of literature to help him in his ritual to breach the Maw. After Necrolord Maw Walkers infiltrated the House of Rituals disguised as Acolyte Nelesis, Kel'Thuzad tasked them getting his books from Ninadar, but noted that the baroness enjoyed exploiting her title and that they would likely have to complete some mundane tasks for her before she cooperated.[2] As expected, Ninadar sent Kel'Thuzad's "acolyte" to obtain overdue scrolls held by the Grimoirium's studious acolytes[1] and capture loose animated quills and parchment[3] before she parted with the list of Kel'Thuzad's books and told the acolyte that the volumes could be found in the Hall of Tomes.[4]

After his ritual was sabotaged by the Maw Walkers and the deposed baron Balmedar, Kel'Thuzad openly launched a coup against Margrave Sin'dane, confronting her and Ninadar at the entrance to the Hall of Sorcery. Sin'dane told the traitor that he could not match her power, but Ninadar suddenly betrayed the margrave by stealing her weapon, the Staff of the Primus, while declaring that she was weak and that it was time to anoint a new margrave. This allowed Kel'Thuzad to capture Sin'dane[5] and—with Ninadar's backing—seize control of the house.[6]

During the Necrolord Covenant's assault on the House of Rituals, Ninadar—now wielding the Staff of the Primus—led the defense of the house's southern entrance, raining sorcery down on the attackers. With the help of Emeni's abominations, the Maw Walkers pushed through the baroness' forces and damaged her until she was forced to retreat by teleporting to the Grimoirium. There, she began drawing out a massive amount of energy from the house's anima reservoir, and Balmedar (who was accompanying the Necrolords) warned that she had to be stopped before she destroyed them all. After becoming empowered by anima, Ninadar began fighting the Maw Walkers, Baroness Draka, and Alexandros Mograine until she was nearly defeated again. Yelling that she intended to have what she had been promised, Ninadar began absorbing even more anima, ignoring Balmedar's protests that it was too much for her to control. Moments later, the excessive power created an explosion that completely obliterated the baroness. She left behind the Staff of the Primus, which the Necrolords subsequently used to free Sin'dane and defeated Kel'Thuzad.[7]

Normal
You had better have a good reason for interrupting me, acolyte.
Well, what is it?
During the N [60] Mistress of Tomes questline
Ah yes, I do remember the baron requesting a collection of tomes from my library. An odd smattering of topics, if I do recall correctly.
As you can see, I am a very busy lich. However, if you were to lighten my workload I could perhaps see it fit to provide you with the tomes you seek.
