[Tripping the Rifts] for known locations).

Take the Elemental Shard to an Earthen Ring Emissary in Ironforge, Stormwind, Exodar or Darnassus.

Seek out an Earthen Ring Emissary at any capital city. This could be exactly what they are looking for.

Yes, <name>, this shard does explain the occurrence of the rift. The elemental planes have been in chaos in Outland ever since Draenor was destroyed. These shards cause a weakness in the already damaged elemental planes and allow the elementals to cross into our world
