War golems are a kind of armor-based golem that could be seen in cities during the Third War. Warcraft III: Reforged makes the animated suits of armor into the dwarven golems of World of Warcraft.

In World of Warcraft, the term "war golem" is also used to describe variants of stone golem that are a Dark Iron clan invention, and for the iron golems created by the iron dwarves.
