Verath Windrunner was an advisor to King Anasterian Sunstrider a few years prior to the First War. He was the father of the four Windrunner siblings: the three sisters Alleria, Sylvanas, and Vereesa; and the brother Lirath. Along with his wife Lireesa, he was killed in a bloody attack by the Amani trolls, who had recently allied themselves with the invading Orcish Horde at the onset of the Second War.[1]
During her hunt for Xal'atath, Alleria Windrunner arrived at Triad's Conservatory in Eredath where the Harbinger summoned images of her family, including Verath, appearing simply as Father.[2]
