HS images

Heya, in order to avoid creating duplicate images (it takes time to delete) that use the wrong type (we use jpg and not webp), remember to check that we have not already put them on the wiki, and look at the description model used on the others, for example on this one: File:Eonar the Lifebinder HS.jpg. It is also not necessary to do lore summaries for HS characters, we leave that for HS Wiki which already takes care of it very well. ClassIcon paladin.png Wards (talk) 00:03, 24 January 2024 (UTC)

Oh yes I almost forgot, we only use HS images on lore pages, not raid pages, and we don't need to put the names of their cards as titles, only when the cards have the name + the title mentioned, and that it is of real interest (which is not generally the case from experience).ClassIcon paladin.png Wards (talk) 00:05, 24 January 2024 (UTC)

Temporary block from image uploading - January 2024

I have temporarily blocked you from uploading images due to your repeated issues with image quality and naming. Please respond on this talk page when you have read this. Wards's messages above still apply. Thank you. --Kaydeethree (talk) 00:39, 27 January 2024 (UTC)

Forgive me for being green around the gills so to speak. The images I upload and the text I add was simply me trying to connect certain aspects from Hearthstone and other connected games to this one. I will respect the block until it expires. To help prevent something like this from happening again. Perhaps you would tell me which image from which expansion you want me to pull and upload. Heya, in my opinion, before doing anything with uploading images or editing pages, it would be better that you take time to read thoses guidelines --> guidelines and policies ClassIcon paladin.png Wards (talk) 23:28, 27 January 2024 (UTC)
All good! In most cases, you'll simply want to name the file whatever the HS card is called with "HS" ending, like so "Azerite Chunk HS.jpg". As for which images should go on the wiki, we generally go for art depicting topics relevant spefically to WoW or Warcraft. So artwork of content unique to HS will often not be needed here. This isn't an absolute rule though. Stuff like "Azerite Chunk" and similar can go on the page for Azerite and File:Mo'arg Drillfist HS.jpg can go on the mo'arg page and so on, even if the names of those cards don't specifically appear in WoW. So while a HS character like Drilly the Kid could have gone to the HS section on the robot page here, there can at times be a balance of whether or not we need every depiction of a robot, or otherwise. Other editors may have more to say on that topic than I. For inspiration on how to format summaries, or other relevant sections on the file page, you can also take a look at existing examples in the category here. For specific cases, you can always ask, either here or on Discord, depending on where you prefer to communicate. PeterWind (talk) 02:48, 28 January 2024 (UTC)

Just because I was blocked from uploading images, doesn't mean I can't find connections in Hearthstone images to characters and add onto within reason.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by RealmLord123 (talk · contr).

You weren't blocked for image/lore connections with Hearthstone, you were blocked all this time because you weren't following the Warcraft Wiki rules and guidelines, which forced us to have to correct everything with several editors for a long moment. Reread all the guidelines, make sure you don't make duplicates, upload what is useful to the wiki, and there will be no problems with anyone ;) Above all, don't hesitate to see the corrections made to your edits, this helps to avoid the same errors from one page to another. Good day and thanks for your contributions on Warcraft Wiki! ClassIcon paladin.png Wards (talk) 11:59, 9 March 2024 (UTC)
I have read the guidelines and relevant policies to the wiki. As massive and admittingly overwhelming as it is. I'll try and follow it them to the best of my abilities. I can't say I'll get it right at times. This is exactly the reason why I have asked to be told which images/information should be added/removed/changed. It's all so I don't screw things up again like I did a couple of months ago.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by RealmLord123 (talk · contr).

Unseen Messages - March 2024

I know the two of you have sent me messages, but somehow its not turning up on my talk page. It's not you, it's me. Am I doing something wrong already? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by RealmLord123 (talk · contr).

I think I see the problem. Sorry if I caused any trouble. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by RealmLord123 (talk · contr).
It's all good. I've noticed you're adding the tildes to the summary with each edit now. I meant you should add it here on talk namespaces which is how I'm leaving my signature after this very message on your own talk page. I recommend checking out Project:Signature for more information. — SurafbrovWarcraft Wiki administrator T / C 00:57, 12 March 2024 (UTC)

You mean like this? (RealmLord123 (talk) 01:23, 12 March 2024 (UTC))
