Amelior is the name of an infinite and hidden realm that is tucked away in the fabric of the Shadowlands and is known to be the home to the Brokers. It is where the souls of native beings, whose physical bodies are killed in different planes within the Shadowlands or in the mortal plane, are brought there to reform with new energy.

History

Nothing much is known in the realm of Amelior, but it was known to be the home to the Brokers, a race of humanoid energy beings that navigate through the In-Between^[1]^[2] Crafted by the First Ones, Amelior was known to have existed since before creation of the Shadowlands and it is where the anima originates from. The Brokers chose to keep Amelior's existence a secret. Like Zereth Mortis and other hidden realms, it is located within the fabric of the Shadowlands and currently remains independent. The Eternal Ones knew of Amelior's secrets, but didn't find any clues on how to get there since the Brokers have kept their secrets hidden.

Inhabitants

According to the Eternal Ones, Amelior is mainly inhabited by the Brokers and the souls that have come here to reform. If a native being from the Shadowlands is killed on the mortal plane, their essence returns to the Shadowlands to be reformed at Amelior. If the soul of a former mortal or a native being is killed in different realms within the Shadowlands, their essence also goes to Amelior to be reformed while their previous energy disperses and joins the greater whole of the magic of Death. Although, there are some that can die permanently and their soul can sometimes be lost forever within the Shadowlands, but the Brokers have studied ways on how to prevent that from happening. Every soul is given new energy upon their arrival to Amelior, but are not given new physical forms. For countless eons, many souls that have come to this realm and are given three options: going to Ardenweald to be reborn into the world of the living, going back to their own infinite realms within the Shadowlands and be given their new physical forms, or find peace and ascend to the Luminar.
