How to Make Money

  • First: Get Auctioneer.
  • Second: Run it at a regular interval that is greater than or equal to every 24 hours.

Drops

Instance Drops

  • Solo instances that are recommended for levels that are 20 or more below you. Empty bags before you go. Proceed to World Drops.

Quest Rewards

  • If you can't use any of the quest rewards, select the one with the highest vendor price and vendor it.
  • Prices are typically as follows:
  • Armor
  • Plate
  • Mail
  • Leather
  • Cloth
  • Weapons
  • Wand/Staff
  • 2H Sword/2H Mace/2H Axe
  • 1H Sword/1H Mace/1H Axe

World Drops

  • Sell all greens that go for above 1g that are not usable by yourself or guildies.
  • [Disenchant] or vendor all greens that don't meet the above requirements.
  • Vendor all whites unless usable by yourself or guildies.
  • Vendor all greys. Only drop a grey when it's the least valuable in your bags and you need to make room for a more valuable item.

Professions

Gathering

  • Take up two gathering professions and sell the raw materials.
  • Couple a gathering profession with a crafting profession and sell the crafts.

Enchanting

Herbalism

Mining

Skinning

Crafting

  • You'll want to farm for the low-supply/high-demand formulas.

Alchemy

  • Sell potions. Higher-level health/mana potions and elixirs are the way to go.
  • There are some quests that have objectives that can only be made by Alchemists.

Blacksmithing

  • Sell armor and weapons. Higher-level armor/weapons, with/out enchants, is the way to go.
  • There are some quests that have objectives that can only be made by Blacksmiths.

Enchanting

  • Sell enchanting materials and enchants. Rare-ish enchants are the way to go.

Engineering

  • Sell gear, weapons and toys. Unfortunately, most engineering crafts require engineering skill to use.

Jewelcrafting

  • Sell jewelery including necklaces and rings. All levels will want this gear. Especially lower levels since things like necklaces and rings are non-existent.

Leatherworking

Tailoring

  • Bags. Make bags. Make lots of bags. Send those bags to your alts. Send those bags to your guildies. Send those bags to the Auction House.
  • Oh yeah, make gear too.

Secondary

Cooking

  • Sell food. Cooked food usually provides buffs that normal food does not.

First Aid

Fishing

Riding

  • This skill sucks at making money. It takes it all away.
