Lora'den Suntreader is an elven ranger well-known because of his extreme longevity — he even fought in service of King Anasterian during the Troll Wars, 2,800 years before the coming of the orcs to Azeroth. He was a prominent member of the Convocation of Silvermoon.
History
Lora'den is a member of the prominent Suntreader family of high elves. He was born 3,000 years before the opening of the Dark Portal and he battled during the Troll Wars in service of King Anasterian Sunstrider.
Second and Third Wars
His wife and only son were slayed by the Horde during the Second War, which left him with a deep hatred towards the orcs. With the invasion of Quel'Thalas by the Scourge, Lora'den tried to protect elven lands side by side with Ranger-General Sylvanas Windrunner. But it was in vain.
After the corruption of the Sunwell and the promotion of Lor'themar Theron to Regent-Lord, he refused to accept the methods and teachings of Grand Magister Rommath, and utterly despised the allegiance between the blood elves and the Horde. Because of that Lora'den was forced to exile with other high elven dissenters.
The Silver Covenant
He found his way to Dalaran, where Vereesa Windrunner was gathering the high elven survivors and organizing the Silver Covenant. Due to his famous reputation as war hero, Lora'den was promoted to Lord-Commander of the Silver Covenant.
The Ghostlands
He followed his Ranger-General to the Ghostlands after being invited by Halduron Brightwing to fight the Zandalari in Zul'Aman.
Pandaria
In Dalaran, Lora'den had to confront the Sunreavers after their treason had been revealed by Lady Jaina Proudmoore. Later on, Lora'den followed Vereesa Windrunner and the Kirin Tor Offensive to the continent of Pandaria, where they had to fight the Sunreaver Onslaught.
Personality and Appearance
Lora'den is polite and gentle towards allies, but he fights with elven pride and great fury when facing his enemies. He has animosity towards both orcs and undead, and he has learnt to hate his blood elven cousins.
He looks extremely slender and his facial features reflect his old age — his hair is long and white, and his skin is really pale, even more than that of a regular high elf. His eyes are full of melancholy most of the times, though sometimes it is replaced by an anger that doesn't forget the affronts of the past.
