Ursoc is the fourth boss of the Emerald Nightmare.

Adventure Guide

Ursoc is one of the Wild Gods. Patron of the furbolg, and closely linked to the druidic power of shapeshifting, the ancient great bear has long been a protector of Azeroth. But as Ursoc slumbered at his shrine in the Grizzly Hills, the world around him was plunged into corruption, and he awoke to torment and nightmare, consuming and twisting his being.

Overview

Ursoc tramples his enemies with Barreling Impact and periodically roars for a Roaring Cacophany. In Mythic difficulty, Nightmare Images periodically animate and attack players.

Damage Dealers

• When not afflicted with Momentum, stand in Ursoc's path when he uses Focused Gaze to reduce the amount of damage Barreling Impact inflicts.
• Get as far away from Ursoc as possible when the target of Focused Gaze to reduce the damage taken from Trampling Slam.

Healers

• When not afflicted with Momentum, stand in Ursoc's path when he uses Focused Gaze to reduce the amount of damage Barreling Impact inflicts.
• Get as far away from Ursoc as possible when the target of Focused Gaze to reduce the damage taken from Trampling Slam.

Tanks

• Ensure that no tank overlaps the effects of both Overwhelm and Rend Flesh at the same time, taunting when necessary.
• Switch off which tank holds Ursoc's attention for Overwhelm and Rend Flesh each time he charges.
• Stay out of the proximity of Nightmare Images to avoid Nightmarish Cacophany.

Abilities

•  Overwhelm  — Ursoc overwhelms a player's defenses, inflicting 1360492 Physical damage. This increases Physical damage taken by 15% and increases damage taken by Rend Flesh by 150% for 12 sec. This effect stacks.
•  Rend Flesh  — Ursoc viciously rends a player, inflicting 1215000 Physical damage and an additional 710775 Physical damage every 2 sec for 12 sec.
•  Focused Gaze  — Ursoc focuses his gaze upon a player, charging them after 6 sec and striking them with Trampling Slam. Upon reaching his destination, Ursoc strikes all players with Barreling Impact.
  •  Momentum — Ursoc charges through any players to his target, inflicting 435000 Physical damage to all targets in his path and knocking them back.
  •  Momentum — Ursoc charges through any players to his target, inflicting 435000 Physical damage to all targets in his path and knocking them back. These players suffer 500% increased damage from Momentum for 50 sec.
  •  Barreling Impact  — When Ursoc reaches his marked target, he inflicts 1968300 Physical damage to all players. This effect is reduced by each player Ursoc has charged through.
  •  Trampling Slam  — Ursoc inflicts 1500000 Physical damage to the target. This damage is reduced the further away the target is from Ursoc.
•  Roaring Cacophony — Releases a mighty roar, inflicting 3901867 Physical damage divided evenly among all players within 25 yds.
  •  Nightmarish Cacophony — Whenever Ursoc roars, he leaves behind a Nightmare Image. On subsequent Ursoc roars, the Nightmare Image also releases a mighty roar, inflicting 400000 Shadow damage divided evenly among all players within 20 yds. This effect causes players to run in fear for 3 sec. In Mythic difficulty, Nightmare Images periodically animate and attack players.
  •  Miasma — Nightmare Images project a zone of miasma 20 yds around themselves, inflicting 105600 Shadow damage every 1 sec to players caught within.
  •  Echoing Dischord — Echoes increase the damage done by Roaring Cacophony by 10%. This effect stacks.
•  Blood Frenzy — Ursoc enters a mighty rage at 30% health remaining, increasing attack speed by 20% and damage done by 25%.

Tanks

Ursoc uses two interacting debuff mechanics that are of special concern to the tanks: Overwhelm and Rend Flesh. Tanks who have stacks of Overwhelm suffer increased damage from the Rend Flesh DoT. In order to minimize tank damage the following taunt schedule can be used:
