Targnak is an orc shaman and the mentor of Shagara.
Biography
Targnak recommended Shagara to the Garad'kra militia. Battlemaster Bröng initially questioned the recommendation, but would later decide that it had been wise.
En route to Orgrimmar, Targnak guided Shagara as she tried to save a farm in northern Durotar from lava streams. The water spirits refused to answer her call, and Targnak suggested that she should finish her journey to the capital instead. However, Shagara refused to give up and called on the element of air to create a lightning storm. This halted the lava, but also destroyed the farm. Targnak admonished her for her recklessness, but Shagara replied that he was the one who'd taught her that risk is a part of life.
Targnak administered the ritual blessings for the mak'gora between Shagara and Ashra Valandril, though Ashra refused to receive his blessing. The duel ended with Shagara wounding and nearly killing Ashra, but Targnak healed the latter's wounds. He later argued that Shagara's actions were justified and that Ashra could use a few scars.[1]
Quotes
- Ironhoof: "You could have killed one of our own."
Targnak: "The blood elf left her little choice, Ironhoof. The way of the Horde is harsh. Better he learn that in Orgrimmar than in your coming battles."[2]
