Talk:Lands of Conflict
Concerning when Lands of Conflict takes place
Currently written in the article, it says that Lands of Conflict takes place a few years before the MMO. However, in its timeline it says that the year 25 after the Dark Portal is the present time. If you look at the timeline on the official webpage for World of Warcraft, it says the MMO too takes place in the year 25 after the Dark Portal. [1]
If you have no objections, I will remove the comment concerning when Lands of Conflict takes place. If you wish for proof, I will post a scan of the page where it says year 25 is the present time. --Iluvatar 00:41, 15 July 2007 (UTC)
- Note that LoC was written before WoW came out, and so it could be possible that it is still going by the uncollapsed timeline that we suffer today. --Sky (t · c · w) 22:56, 30 July 2007 (UTC)
Big problem, Illuvatar. When it comes to the timelines, year 30 is now currently "present time" in the RPG (present time being the start of WoW), and other sources, I recommend you read each of the timelines and become aquainted with the issue. You'll note the website you linked to is old one that has never been updated to match later produced timelines. It was last updated in 2004. Also Lands of Conflict timeline does not match up with later timelines. The events in the book can be set between 25 and 30 years after. World of Warcraft The Roleplaying Game, states that Lands of Conflict is set before that book. "Present Day The events in The World of Warcraft RPG take place after those in Lands of Conflict."Baggins 22:48, 13 October 2007 (UTC)

Date
Anyone knows the day it was first released? --Mordecay (talk) 20:57, 16 October 2017 (UTC)
- September 20th, 2004 is what I'm finding here, though it would be good if someone could independently confirm that. Especially since it contradicts the July 2004 date in the infobox. -- Dark T Zeratul (talk) 21:00, 16 October 2017 (UTC)
- I found this stating September 1 and 20. --Mordecay (talk) 21:08, 16 October 2017 (UTC)
- And Scrolls of Lore says August. Ugh. -- Dark T Zeratul (talk) 21:09, 16 October 2017 (UTC)
