I have to say that yes the king was removed, we went there yesterday and was over whelmed with 10 people at how fast everyone respawned. this has not been confirmed but this may be a end game instance along with emerald dream. There are also serveral fun things like helicoptors, good drops, and lots to explore. atleast take a 10-15 man raid. the minions of dr. weavil as as hard as Molten Core Trash mobs so be advised. Come prepaired though, this is all worth it in the end.

1.10 removed Weavil?

The article says "In patch 1.10, Dr. Weavil's forces (having served their purpose) were replaced with elite monsters...." But isn't Dr. Weavil still part of the Ahn'Qiraj gate opening chain? This chain is still operational, even after the gate is open. And some realms (new ones) haven't even opened the gates yet. Saying Dr. Weavil and his forces outright were removed entirely just doesn't ring true to me. -- Tuhljin 04:22, 6 September 2006 (EDT)

Stealthing there out of pure curiousity, I found (in ghost form) that Dr. Weavil is sleeping on the second floor of the largest building. While stealthing, I saw Dr. Weavil's minions and lots of naga and hydra. He's certainly still there. --GeekOfDeath]]
Still there in 2.10, long since AQ has been opened on our server, sleeping in his bed with his goggles on and his minions on patrol. I'll rewrite the page. --Hurax 15:22, 27 June 2007 (UTC)

The return of King Varian Wrynn

The article should probably reflect that he's returned to the throne, but don't know how to word it. TherasTaneel (talk) 23:08, September 8, 2009 (UTC)

Abandoned?

I am not sure but i think that some (hostile) npcs used to be present at the Island. Now i checked the Island and theres no one. Can anybody (with good mind :D ) check it?--Mordecay (talk) 19:09, 17 September 2012 (UTC)

It looks like they're getting phased out after you complete Theramore's Fall. Not sure if that's intentional or not. -- Dark T Zeratul (talk) 06:35, 18 September 2012 (UTC)
