Symbol of Hope is a Holy priest talent that restores mana to the casting priest and their group's healers. It also accelerates the cooldown of a certain defensive ability for each player's specialization.

Patch changes

• Patch 10.2.0 (2023-11-07):
  • Now restores 10% of missing mana (was 15%).
  • Now recovers 30 seconds of cooldown for a major defensive ability (was 60 seconds).
    
• Hotfix (2023-03-28): Fixed a bug causing Symbol of Hope to reduce the cooldown of both [Divine Protection] and [Shield of Vengeance] for Retribution Paladins. It will now only reduce the cooldown of Divine Protection.
  
• Patch 10.0.0 (2022-10-25): Now a row 6 Holy talent (was a level 47 Holy ability).
  
• Patch 9.2.0 (2022-02-22): Cooldown reduced to 3 minutes (was 5 minutes) and channel time reduced to 4 seconds (was 5 seconds).
  
• Patch 9.1.0 (2021-06-29): redesigned – Bolster the morale of party or raid members within 40 yards. They each recover 60 seconds of cooldown on a major defensive ability, and they regain 18% of their missing mana, over 5 seconds.

  Old: Bolster the morale of all healers in your party or raid within 40 yards, restoring 2% of their missing mana immediately and every 1 sec for 5 sec.
  

• Patch 9.0.1 (2020-10-13): Now learned at level 47 (was 85).
  
• Patch 8.1.5 (2019-03-12): Symbol of Hope's channel time reduced to 5 seconds (was 6 seconds) and is now affected by Haste. The amount of mana returned is unchanged. Additionally, Symbol of Hope can now be correctly cast while in [Spirit of Redemption].
  
• Patch 8.0.1 (2018-07-17): Symbol of Hope has been redesigned as a level 85 ability (was a level 60 talent). Bolster the morale of all healers in your party or raid within 40 yards, restoring 2% of their missing mana immediately and every 1 sec for 6 sec. Channeled. 5 min cooldown.

  Old: Bolster the morale of all healers in your party or raid within 40 yards, allowing them to cast spells for no mana for 12 sec. Instant cast. 6 min cooldown.
