Patch 10.0.5 (2023-01-24): Moved to row 5 for Feral (was row 7).
Patch 10.0.0 (2022-10-25): Now a row 7 Feral and row 2 Guardian talent (was a level 32 Feral and Guardian ability). Rank 2 converted into the [Improved Survival Instincts] talent.
Patch 9.0.1 (2020-10-13):
- Now learned at level 32 (was 36).
- Now has 1 charge (was 2). Rank 2 added for Guardian only at level 47, granting a second charge.
Patch 7.1.0 (2016-10-25): Now learned at level 36 (was 40).
Patch 7.0.3 (2016-07-19): Now learned at level 40 (was 56).
Patch 6.0.2 (2014-10-14):
- No longer forces the druid into Bear Form, and now lasts 6 seconds (down from 12 seconds).
- Now has 2 charges (was 1).
Patch 5.0.4 (2012-08-28): Now a level 56 Feral and Guardian ability (was a tier 5 Feral Combat talent). Can now be used in any form, but will force the player to Bear Form if not in Cat Form or Bear Form.
Patch 4.0.3a (2010-11-23): Now provides 50% damage reduction, down from 60%, and its cooldown has been lowered from 5 minutes to 3 minutes.
Patch 4.0.1 (2010-10-12): Redesigned as a tier 5 Feral Combat talent (was tier 3). Reduces all damage taken by 50% for 12 sec. Only usable while in Bear Form or Cat Form. Cooldown increased from 3 minutes to 5.
Old: When activated, this ability temporarily grants you 30% of your maximum health for 20 sec while in Bear Form, Cat Form, or Dire Bear Form.
Patch 3.1.0 (2009-04-14): Cooldown reduced to 3 minutes, down from 5. Now works in [Moonkin Form].
Patch 3.0.8 (2009-01-20): Now temporarily grants you 30% of your current maximum health for 20 sec (was 30% of your base maximum health).
Patch 3.0.3 (2008-11-04): Survival Instincts will no longer be on the Global Cooldown.
