Shield of the Templar is a talent in the Protection tree. It reduces the cooldown of [Guardian of Ancient Kings] and [Avenging Wrath], and causes [Divine Plea] to generate Holy Power. You will need to spend 28 points in Protection to max it.

Patch changes

Patch 5.0.4 (2012-08-28): Removed.
Patch 4.0.3a (2010-11-23): Now reduces the cooldown of Guardian of Ancient Kings by 40/80/120 seconds, down from 1/2/3 minutes. Also causes [Divine Plea] to generate Holy Power.
Patch 4.0.1 (2010-10-12): Redesigned as a tier 6 talent (was tier 10). Reduces the cooldown of Avenging Wrath by 20/40/60 sec and Guardian of Ancient Kings by 40/80/120 sec. In addition, your Divine Plea will generate 1/2/3 Holy Power.
Old: Reduces all damage taken by 1/2/3% and grants your Avenger's Shield a 33/66/100% chance to silence your targets for 3 sec.
Patch 3.1.0 (2009-04-14): Now no longer increases the damage done by Holy Shield, Avenger's Shield, and Shield of Righteousness. Now grants 33/66/100% chance to silence your Avenger's Shield targets for 3 seconds.
Patch 3.0.3 (2008-11-04): Now also reduces all damage taken by 1/2/3%.
Patch 3.0.2 (2008-10-14): Added.
