History

Battle for Azeroth

Battle for Azeroth This section concerns content related to Battle for Azeroth.

During the Fourth War, Nola traveled to both Little Tortolla in Dazar'alor and Stormsong Valley. In Dazar'alor, Zandalari children took her scrolls and polymorhped themselves, and adventurers helped change them back.[1] She was dealing with the Venture Company's operations in the Jeweled Coast of Stormsong and accepted help from adventurers of the Alliance and Horde. She tasked them with saving and cleaning Oily Sandbill Pipers[2] and finding tortollans' scrolls of sea that would help brave waters.[3] After Toki told her about a plan of defeating the Venture Company, Nola sent the adventurer to the Cave of Ai'twen to find Loroja and work with her on awakening Ai'twen.[4] In various areas of Kul Tiras and Zandalar, she asked adventurers to help turtles,[5] crabs,[6] and show young tortollans how to scribe scrolls.[7]

She was later present in Zanchul in Dazar'alor during Talanji's coronation. Collector Kojo had his hand placed on her.

She also appeared during the Wanderer's Festival at the Turtle Beach in the Krasarang Wilds.

She and Maokka then traveled to Mechagon Island and were found in Rustbolt, where she continued her efforts against the Venture Company and had the adventurer kill their members.[8]

Nola traveled to the Dragon Isles and could be found alongside Archmage Vargoth and Chief Telemancer Oculeth at the quarters of Professor Intinosa at Algeth'ar Academy in Thaldraszus.

Nola's spirit at the tortollan wedding

During the Bronze Celebration, Lashk informed adventurers that Nola had passed away, leaving her final wish with the Tortaka tribe. The adventurer tracked her last wish to the Tortaka tribe, and fulfilled it by summoning Nola's spirit in Zuldazar to observe a tortollan wedding. Nola noted that the couple and their connection would be the future of her people. With this, she stated that "this old Tortollan has made it to the water," and told the adventurer she was ready to rest.[9]

Gossip

The Jeweled Coast & Rustbolt

Your arrival here today was foretold in the scrolls.

Algeth'ar Academy

It is so nice to see what these young new spell casters are up to. Very clever work with how they channel their mana through a projected runic construct.

I have not seen someone attempting that since back when Malygos was playing with his ley lines to communicate over long distances. Very clever, though these children seem to lack some flourish to their work.

They like the puzzles, not the wonder of magic. A shame.

Greetings
  • Have you come to speak to old Nola?
  • You look like you can appreciate a good story!
  • It's so nice to see you, dearie!
  • What, aren't you a spry young thing!
Farewell
  • This reminds me of a story!
  • Come see old Nola again some time.
  • Well, wasn't that nice?
  • Adventurers are so polite these days.
Pissed
  • Some say I have a tendency to ramble. My sister was far worse, though. Did you know she once fell asleep midsentence?
  • I almost didn't notice that she was snoring. Her voice is so rough as it is. Rather like my second grandson actually.
  • He was such a proud tortollan. Every bit big for his shell, if you know what I mean. A shame he was eaten by a whale shark.
  • Did you know you can use whale shark gills in soup? It prevents scale rock. Oh, eh, what were we talking about?
