Revival is a Mistweaver monk talent. Despite its misleading name, it is not a resurrection spell; for that, see [Resuscitate]. Instead, it is an emergency cooldown for mass burst healing.

It is an exclusive choice node with [Restoral].

Notes

  • Revival is powerful and takes effect very quickly, but it has a 3-minute cooldown.
  • Revival applies its effect regardless of line of sight rules, as long as targets are positioned in range. It can even be cast from behind closed gates if the monk was separated from the rest of the party when the encounter started (in a raid this usually means a wipe, but in a 5-player dungeon the other players can attempt to pull through, even if Revival is the only thing the healer can cast).
  • [Uplifted Spirits] provides a cooldown reduction effect from [Rising Sun Kick] and critical [Vivify] casts.
  • Applies an extra heal from [Mastery: Gust of Mists] to each target.
  • Revival is identical in healing effect to Restoral. The main difference of this ability is that Revival also removes magic effects on all targets. If dispelling effects at the wrong time would disrupt the fight, consider using Restoral instead for safety to ensure the magic dispel does not take place.

Tips

  • Revival being instant makes it useful when moving.
  • In a raid, the mistweaver will only get to use it about twice during a typical boss encounter (ie one that lasts around 5 minutes). Planning a time to use this ability will help get the most out of it. This is especially important because coordination with other healers is generally helpful to avoid overhealing.
