Remembrance
- Not to be confused with Remembrance Day, an Alliance holiday. For the unrelated quest of the same name, see

[50] Remembrance.
The Remembrance was an annual high elven holiday celebrating the anniversary of the final battle of the Troll Wars, when King Anasterian Sunstrider had killed so many Amani trolls with his runeblade Felo'melorn that "it was said a tide of blood crested the walls of Zul'Aman."[1] The event was honored kingdom-wide,[2] with Anasterian hosting a ball for the nobility in the Court of the Sun in Silvermoon City.[1]
One year's Remembrance ball saw the attendance of Prince Kael'thas, Grand Magister Belo'vir and his colleagues Dar'Khan Drathir and Rommath, Lord Saltheril, the Windrunner family, several members of the Farstriders, and many others. During the party, Sylvanas Windrunner inadvertently embarrassed herself and her family after being heard insulting Kael'thas behind his back in response to a rumor that he meant to ask for her hand.[1]
It's unknown if the Remembrance is still celebrated, as the high elves who became blood elves came to view their old habits of excessive ceremonies as distasteful in light of the tragedies their people had suffered.[3]

The ceremony of commemorating the many elven sacrifices during the Scourge invasion and the destruction of the Sunwell in the aftermath may be the Remembrance or at least a continuation/variation of it.
