Rapture is a Discipline priest talent.

Patch changes

• Patch 10.0.0 (2022-10-25): Now a row 5 Discipline talent (was a level 41 Discipline ability).
  
• Patch 9.0.1 (2020-10-13): Now immediately casts [Power Word: Shield] on your friendly target when used, if no ally is targeted Power Word: Shield will be cast on yourself and its duration has been reduced to 8 seconds (from 10 seconds). Now learned at level 41 (was 50).
  
• Patch 8.1.0 (2018-12-11): Rapture additionally allows you to ignore Weakened Soul.
  
• Patch 8.0.1 (2018-07-17): Redesigned. For the next 10 sec, Power Word: Shield absorbs an additional 200%. Cooldown reduced to 1.5 min (was 2 min).

  Old: For the next 8 sec, Power Word: Shield has no cooldown.
  

• Hotfix (2017-04-03): Rapture can no longer be dispelled.
  
• Patch 7.0.3 (2016-07-19): Re-added and redesigned as an active ability at level 50 (was a level 10 passive ability). For the next 8 sec, Power Word: Shield has no cooldown. Instant cast, 2 min cooldown.

  Old: Removes the cooldown on Power Word: Shield and reduces its mana cost by 25%. In addition, when your Power Word: Shield is completely absorbed or dispelled you are instantly refunded 100% of its mana cost. This effect can only occur once every 12 sec.
  

• Patch 6.0.2 (2014-10-14): Removed.
  
• Patch 5.4.0 (2013-09-10): Now energizes the Priest for 100% of the mana cost of Power Word: Shield When the shield is fully consumed or is dispelled (used to energize the Priest with mana equal to 150% of their spirit). This is the modified mana cost for Power Word: Shield, after being reduced by Rapture’s passive effect.
  
• Patch 5.2.0 (2013-03-05): Now reduces the cost of [Power Word: Shield] by 25% and provides mana equal to 150% (was 200%) of the priest's Spirit, but no longer benefits from Spirit provided by short-duration bonuses.
  
• Hotfix (2012-11-06): Rapture now returns mana equal to 200% of the Priest's total Spirit (was 150%).
  
• Patch 5.0.4 (2012-08-28): Now also removes the cooldown on Power Word: Shield. Mana gain changed from 7% of total mana to 150% of total spirit. Now a level 10 Discipline specialization ability (was a tier 4 Discipline talent).
  
• Hotfix (2011-02-18): Rapture now returns 2/5/7% of maximum mana when Power Word: Shield is consumed, up from 2/4/6%.
  
• Hotfix (2010-12-15): Mana regeneration component has been increased from 1.5/2/2.5 to 2/4/6%.
  
• Patch 4.0.1 (2010-10-12): No longer grants energy/rage/mana on targets cast with Power Word: Shield. Moved from tier 8 to tier 4.
  
• Patch 3.1.0 (2009-04-14): Redesigned. When your Power Word: Shield is completely absorbed or dispelled you are instantly energized with 1.5%/2.0%/2.5% of your total mana, and you have a 33%/66%/100% chance to energize your shielded target with 2% total mana, 8 rage, 16 energy or 32 runic power. This effect can occur once every 12 seconds.

  Old: Causes you to gain up to 0.5/1.0/1.5/2.0/2.5% of your maximum mana each time you heal with Greater Heal, Flash Heal or Penance, or damage is absorbed by your Power Word: Shield or Divine Aegis. Increasing the amount healed or absorbed increases the mana gained.
  

• Patch 3.0.8 (2009-01-20): Rapture: This talent will now correctly return mana for Power Word: Shield based on the caster's mana pool instead of the target's mana pool.
  
• Patch 3.0.2 (2008-10-14): Added.
