This rogue-only quest is the start of the chain to obtain the legendary daggers Fangs of the Father:  [Golad, Twilight of Aspects] and  [Tiriosh, Nightmare of Ages]. It starts and ends inside a normal or heroic Dragon Soul raid.

Objectives

Pickpocket a cryptomancer's decoder ring from Hagara the Stormbinder at the Eye of Eternity within the Dragon Soul raid encounter.

Description

Hello, <name>! You've earned a reputation among the flight as having - shall we say - 'nimble fingers.'

We need someone of your skills for a matter of utmost delicacy. Before I reveal more, we need to know you're the right <man/woman> for the job.

When the course of battle takes you to the Eye of Eternity, I need you to pickpocket Hagara the Stormbinder to retrieve a cryptomancer's decoder ring. Are you up to the task?

Notes

Upon accept
Lord Devrestrasz says: The battle against Deathwing's minions is your top priority, <name>. But if you can help our flight with this small task, so much the better.
  • Lord Devrestrasz is found inside the Dragon Soul raid instance, inside Wyrmrest Temple.
  • The quest item cannot be stolen, or the quest picked up, in Raid Finder difficulty.
  • Hagara the Stormbinder is the fourth boss of the raid. The portal to the Eye of Eternity only opens up after the first three bosses (Morchok, Warlord Zon'ozz and Yor'sahj the Unsleeping) have been killed. However the rogue does not have have participated in the first 3 kills to be summoned in, and will not be saved to the instance unless the boss is pulled and killed.
  • You need to clear trash before Hagara will come down from her floating platform (where she is not targetable). Make sure the raid kites the last mob to the edge of the platform, and bring in all totems and pets, otherwise the encounter will begin prematurely making it unlikely the rogue will be able to pick her pocket.
  • The pocket refills in 15 minutes, or after a soft reset (e.g. if the rogue pulls the boss and then dies or vanishes - ensure the rest of the raid is at the edge first).
